سُبحانَ مَن خَلَقَ الخَل
قَcompletion of the word 'creation' مِنfrom ضَعيفٍsomething weak مَهينِlowly
قَ مِن ضَعيفٍ مَهينِ
Glory be to Him who created creation
Glory to the One who created creation
Glory to Him who brought forth Creation
from something weak and lowly.
From weakness despised and mean
From a fluid weak and base,
يَسوقُهُHe leads it مِنfrom قَرارٍa resting place
يَسوقُهُ مِن قَرارٍ
إِلىto قَرارٍa resting place مَكينِsecure
إِلى قَرارٍ مَكينِ
He leads it from a resting place
Who guides it from rest
Conveying it from a resting place
to a secure resting place.
To rest assured and serene
To a dwelling firm and sure,
فيwithin الحُجبِthe veils شَيئاًa little فَشَيئاًthen a little more
في الحُجبِ شَيئاً فَشَيئاً
يَحورُit changes دونَhidden from العُيونِthe eyes
يَحورُ دونَ العُيونِ
Within the veils, little by little,
Behind the veil little by little
Within the veils, by slow degrees,
it changes, hidden from the eyes,
Beyond the range of eyes
It transforms, unseen by eyes,
حَتّىuntil بَدَتappeared حَرَكاتٌmovements
حَتّى بَدَت حَرَكاتٌ
مَخلوقَةٌcreated مِنfrom سُكونِstillness
مَخلوقَةٌ مِن سُكونِ
until movements appeared,
Until motions appeared
Until movements manifest and stir,
created from stillness.
Made from stillness arise
Created out of stillness deep.
