Forsaking the morning draught is a sign of ill fortune.
The dawn's departure is a sign of decline
To leave the morning draught is a sign of decline,
So make the wine-seller’s house your dwelling.
So settle in the tavern as your abode
So make your home the house of the seller of wine.

The radiant sun never sheds its light
The brilliant sun won't spread its light
The radiant sun never reveals its face,
Without you being a disgrace in the house.
Unless you bring disgrace into the house
Unless you are the household's utter disgrace.
