I say, while the rain hangs low,

So close it could almost be pushed back by hand:

"O rain, flash your lightning and roll your thunder,

For Muhammad is more bountiful than you."

The Trustworthy One is bound by an oath,

Sworn by Allah, the Lord of Muhammad,

That he shall never say to a hopeful seeker,

Who relies upon him, a deliberate "No."
