نادمِ العزَّ الكراما

نادمِ العزَّ الكراما

وخذِ اللهوَ اصطلاما

وخذِ اللهوَ اصطلاما

Drink with glory, with the noble ones.

Reprove the honorable, the generous

Carouse with the glorious and noble,

And seize revelry utterly.

And take pleasure, make it a habit

And take pleasure with total abandon.

لا تفيدنّ صلاةً

لا تفيدنّ صلاةً

لا ولا تبغ صياما

لا ولا تبغ صياما

Seek no benefit from prayer,

Do not perform prayers

Do not seek benefit in prayer,

no, nor seek to fast.

Or fast at all

Nor desire to fast.

وإذا بصرتَ في المُصحفِ زجراً فتعامى

وإذا بصرتَ في المُصحفِ زجراً فتعامى

And if you see a warning in the Qur’an, pretend to be blind.

And if you see prohibition in the Quran, turn a blind eye

And if you see a rebuke in the Scripture, feign blindness.

Follow the waxing moon and gain

ويكسبِ القمرِ فاتبع

ويكسبِ القمرِ فاتبع

لنداماكَ المُداما

لنداماكَ المُداما

And he earns the moon—so follow

Continuously intoxicated

And win the moon-faced beauty, then follow up,

the wine for your drinking companions.

Serve him who does not rebuke you or blame

For your boon companions with wine.

واسقهِ منَ لا ينافيهِ عتاباً أو مَلاما

واسقهِ منَ لا ينافيهِ عتاباً أو مَلاما

And serve it to whoever does not oppose it with reproach or blame.

Do not take the unlawful

And serve it to one who opposes it with neither reproach nor blame.

Ever, only the unlawful

لا تصرّف في حرام

لا تصرّف في حرام

أبداً إلّا حراما

أبداً إلّا حراما

Do not spend on what is forbidden,

And be certain that God's pardon

Do not deal in forbidden matters,

ever, except what is forbidden.

Will meet the sinner who gained sins

Ever, except through forbidden means.

وتيقّن أنّ عفو ال

وتيقّن أنّ عفو ال

لَهِ لاقٍ ذا الأناما

لَهِ لاقٍ ذا الأناما

And be certain that the forgiveness of

Does pardon come except

And be certain that the pardon of,

God will reach these people.

To a sinner who gained sins

God shall encounter all mankind.

هل ينالُ العفوُ إلّا

هل ينالُ العفوُ إلّا

مذنبٌ نالَ الأثاما

مذنبٌ نالَ الأثاما

Does forgiveness reach anyone but

For is forgiveness obtained by any but,

a sinner who has committed sins?
