وجمّاشٍand a womanizer يلومُreproaches علىfor اللواطsodomy
وجمّاشٍ يلومُ على اللواط
لهhe has وجهٌa face كمَرمرَةِlike a marble slab of البلاطthe paving
له وجهٌ كمَرمرَةِ البلاط
And a womanizer finds fault with sodomy;
And a playful flirt who casts blame on sodomy,
He has a face like a marble paving slab.
Possessing a face like the marble of the paving stones,
ويمشيand he walks فيin الجماشةِflirtation قيدَthe length of شبرa handspan
ويمشي في الجماشةِ قيدَ شبر
كمشيةlike the gait of مذنبa sinner فوقupon الصراطِthe Sirat bridge
كمشية مذنب فوق الصراطِ
And in flirtation he walks a mere handspan,
Walking in his coquetry a mere span at a time,
Like a sinner's gait upon the Sirat bridge;
Like the gait of a sinner crossing the Sirat bridge,
جهولٍutterly ignorant باللذاذةِof the pleasure منfrom غلامٍa boy
جهولٍ باللذاذةِ من غلامٍ
يظلّhe remains ممدداًstretched out فوقupon البساطِthe carpet
يظلّ ممدداً فوق البساطِ
Utterly ignorant of the pleasure from a boy
Ignorant of the delight derived from a lad
Who remains stretched out upon the carpet.
Who lies stretched out upon the carpet.
