نحن في الفُرقة طرّاً

نحن في الفُرقة طرّاً

في نعيم وملاهي

في نعيم وملاهي

All of us, in separation,

We in the group are flying high

We are all gathered in this company,

Are in bliss and diversions.

In joy and pleasure untold

In bliss and delightful diversions,

عندنا راحٌ قديمٌ

عندنا راحٌ قديمٌ

وحديثٌ ثير ماهي

وحديثٌ ثير ماهي

We have aged wine,

Amongst us is a wise old man

With us is a wine of ancient vintage,

And new Thīr-māhī wine,

And talk of things new, manifold

And conversation, stirring and effacing,

وغلامٌ أريحيّ

وغلامٌ أريحيّ

من تلاميذ سياهِ

من تلاميذ سياهِ

And a generous-hearted youth,

A gifted lad of noble stock

And a serving-lad of jovial spirit,

One of Siyāh’s pupils.

A pupil of masters tried

From the disciples of Siyah,

هو زينٌ غير شينٍ

هو زينٌ غير شينٍ

هو شاهُ وابنُ شاهِ

هو شاهُ وابنُ شاهِ

He is beauty, not blemish;

He's fair of face, pure of heart

He is pure beauty, without a blemish,

He is a shah and the son of a shah.

A Shah's son, of lineage prized

He is a Shah, and the son of a Shah.
