Until it became a spirit without a body.

It is as though the eyelids of its imbiber
were dazzled by the star's glitter.
Are dazzled by the twinkling of a star.

Sweet of character, ready in resolve.

Until they settled into a pouring rain.

So vie with one another while your lightning lingers,
So compete, the two of you, as long as your lightning flashes,
for both of you pour forth without pause.
For both of you pour forth continuously.

Yet I deem your hand too noble to liken it
Yet I exalt your hand above comparing it
to rain or to the sea's crashing waves.
To the rain or the crashing of the sea.
