Ah, many a wild bull in a far-off place,
O Lord of a bull in a distant place
Many a wild bull in a distant, desolate place,
With dewclaws, glossy and sleek,
With determined, sturdy strides
With tufted fetlocks, skin smooth and glistening,
باتَspent the night يُراعيwatching النَجمَthe stars مِنthrough خَصاصِgaps

Spent the night watching the stars through gaps.
Who spends the night watching the stars from the thicket
Spent the night watching the stars from a narrow gap,
I came upon him at dawn with lean, hollow-bellied hounds,
I bid him good morning with a growling belch
I came upon him at dawn with lean, hollow-bellied hounds,
لاحِقَةًtucked up أَظبائُهاtheir genitals شَواصِraised high

Tucked up, their genitals raised high.
His hounds chasing after him
Relentless pursuers with withers high and raised,
So, after their headlong run, they
Now, after the town, the butcher
Who, after the gallop, break into a frantic pace,
مِنهُof him لَهاfor them حَيثُwhere يَكونُwould be الخاصيthe castrator

Take their place by him where the castrator would be.
For them wherever he may be the special one
Closing in on him there where the flank is vulnerable,
He bares a fang of his that bites hard;
Baring teeth with a nasty grin
He bares a fang that is sharp and pinching,
أَرنَبَةًa nose-tip سَوداءَblack كَالعَناصيlike tufts of hair

He has a black nose-tip like tufts of hair.
A black hare like ebony
And a black nose-tip, dark like a withered tuft,
With it he grapples, and with it he resists.
With it he is granted and by it denied
With which he engages and with which he resists,
يَصيدُhunts بِالقُربِnearby وَبِالأَقاصيand in far-off places

He hunts nearby and in far-off places,
Hunting nearby and afar
Hunting down the quarry, both near and far,
Every plump, fat, capering beast.
Every fat, oily weakling
Every fat, sleek, and prancing prize.
