أصلّي الصلاةَ الخمسَ في حال وقتها

أصلّي الصلاةَ الخمسَ في حال وقتها

وأشهد بالتوحيد للَهِ طائعا

وأشهد بالتوحيد للَهِ طائعا

I perform the five prayers at their appointed times,

I pray the five prayers on time

I pray the five daily prayers when their time is due,

And willingly bear witness to God's oneness.

And testify to God's oneness willingly

And testify in obedience that God is One and true.

وأُحسنُ غسلي إن ركبتُ جنابةً

وأُحسنُ غسلي إن ركبتُ جنابةً

وإن جاءني المسكينُ لم أكُ مانعا

وإن جاءني المسكينُ لم أكُ مانعا

And I bathe thoroughly if I incur ritual impurity,

I perform ablution well if in a state of ritual impurity

I purify myself with care if impurity I bear,

And if a poor man comes to me, I do not refuse him.

And if a poor person comes to me, I am no preventer

And if the poor man comes to me, I have a share to spare.

وفي كلّ عام صومُ شهرِ أقيمهُ

وفي كلّ عام صومُ شهرِ أقيمهُ

وما زلتُ للأندادِ والشرك خالعا

وما زلتُ للأندادِ والشرك خالعا

And every year I observe a month's fast,

And every year I fast the month

And every year I undertake the month of fasting’s rite,

And I have always renounced rival gods and polytheism.

And I still reject the rivals and polytheism

While casting off false idols and polytheism’s blight.

وأنظرُ إن حانت من الكأسِ دعوةٌ

وأنظرُ إن حانت من الكأسِ دعوةٌ

إلى بيعةِ الساقي أجيبُ مسارعا

إلى بيعةِ الساقي أجيبُ مسارعا

And if a summons comes from the cup, I look

And I look if an invitation to a cup comes

Yet should an invitation from the wine-cup catch my eye,

Toward the cupbearer's church, responding in haste.

To the tavern keeper's allegiance I respond hastily

To pledge the cupbearer allegiance, hastily I fly.

فأشربُها صرفاً على لحم ماعزٍ

فأشربُها صرفاً على لحم ماعزٍ

وجدي كثيرِ اللحم قد كان راضعا

وجدي كثيرِ اللحم قد كان راضعا

So I drink it unmixed, with goat meat,

So I drink it straight on goat meat

I drink it straight and pure alongside meat of mountain goat,

And a plump kid that had been suckling,

And my liver which had much meat was suckling

And a fleshy suckling kid, tender to the throat.

وبيض وخاميزٍ وخلّ وبقلةٍ

وبيض وخاميزٍ وخلّ وبقلةٍ

فما زال للمخمور ما كان نافعا

فما زال للمخمور ما كان نافعا

And eggs, khamiz, vinegar, and greens;

And eggs, truffles, vinegar and onions

With eggs and savory stew, vinegar and greens,

For what was beneficial has never ceased to help the hungover.

So it has not ceased to be beneficial for the intoxicated

For such fare serves the drunkard well within his scenes.

وإن لاح لي صيدٌ وثبتُ بنهضةٍ

وإن لاح لي صيدٌ وثبتُ بنهضةٍ

على ردفهِ في السر كالذئب جائعا

على ردفهِ في السر كالذئب جائعا

And if prey appears before me, I leap up

And if prey appears to me and I stand up energized

And if a prey appears to me, I leap with sudden might,

Onto his rump in secret, hungry as a wolf.

On its rump as a hungry wolf

Upon the rump in secret, like a hungry wolf at bite.

وأجعلُ تخليط الروافضِ كلّها

وأجعلُ تخليط الروافضِ كلّها

بفقحةِ بختيشوع في النار طابعا

بفقحةِ بختيشوع في النار طابعا

And I make the muddle of all the Rafidites

And I make the mixing of all the Rejectionists

I consign the Rafidah’s confused and senseless claims,

A brand on Bukhtishu's anus in the fire.

With Bukhtishu's ulcer in the fire a stamp

To brand Bakhtishu’s anus in the everlasting flames.
