أَستَغفِرَ اللَهَ غَيرَ واحِد

All Barmak's sons are generous.

Every son of Barmak is noble

Every son of Barmak is generous and noble,

I ask God's forgiveness—except for one.

I seek forgiveness from God but not just once

—I seek God's forgiveness—save for one,

خولِفَ في خِلعَةٍ فَوافى

خولِفَ في خِلعَةٍ فَوافى

يَمزِجُ مِن صالِحٍ بِفاسِد

يَمزِجُ مِن صالِحٍ بِفاسِد

He was opposed over a robe of honor, so he came,

He was dressed in a robe but did not keep it

He was invested with a robe of honor, yet he came,

mixing some good with bad.

He mixes the good with the corrupt

Mixing the righteous with the corrupt.
