    You have guaranteed sustenance, O Provider, without restriction [reading uncertain],

    without reckoning, whether plentiful or scant.

    وإلا فما في الرزق تبديل قسمة

    Striving for sustenance is nothing but reliance on You;

    otherwise, no allotted share of sustenance can be altered.

    You have guaranteed it to creation according to their need,

    along the paths of means, each toward its own destination.

    And You have prepared the means of obtaining it in ways

    made easy, according to the diversity of livelihoods.

    ولكنه تدبير لطف وحكمة

    And You did not make those means the cause of their sustenance;

    rather, it is an ordering of kindness and wisdom.

    My God, my certainty in Your guarantee is my mainstay,

    and Your bounty, O best of providers, is my reserve.

    And concerning my sustenance, it suffices me that You stand surety

    for it before I stretch out my palm in supplication.

    And asking is the servant's duty, while God brings about

    what He has chosen for a servant, whether ease or hardship.

    And every creature sustained in this universe seeks its sustenance

    from You, and receives in full what Your lordship guarantees.

    And what recourse has the distressed for sustenance, except what

    You have opened by way of supplication and a means of drawing near?

    بفيض اسمك الرزاق وسع معيشتي

    So, O Provider of the raven chick, I do not call upon You in misery;

    through the outpouring of Your name, the Provider, broaden my livelihood.
