حقائق آل الله بجر الحقائب

Yet he gives by the measure of his reason—

Yet he gives by the measure of his reason

the rightful claims of God’s people, drawing forth whole bags.

To God's true folk, bulging saddlebags.

He grants extra bounty wherever such giving is praiseworthy and wise,

And he bestows where bounty is praiseworthy and wise,

Extra gifts no less than the clouds' rainfall.

He steers a pure soul away from excess,

and thus he safeguards it while bestowing worthy gifts.

Thus safeguarding it in righteous acts of giving.

His bounty would crowd the place where the stars hang.

Heeding the wisdom between restraint and openhandedness,

He heeds wisdom between closing and opening his hand;

his way in generosity is the finest of ways.

Thus his way in generosity is the best of ways.
