لعدلك أشكو يا قدير مظالماً

لعدلك أشكو يا قدير مظالماً

عجزتُ لها من ظالم ذات قدرتي

عجزتُ لها من ظالم ذات قدرتي

To Your justice I appeal, O All-Powerful, against wrongs

O Just One, I complain of oppressions to Thee

which, inflicted by a tyrant, I was powerless to resist with my own strength.

I was powerless against an oppressor of power like Thee

طغى وتولى يا قدير فاكثر ال

طغى وتولى يا قدير فاكثر ال

فساد بمرأى القدرة الأزلية

فساد بمرأى القدرة الأزلية

He transgressed and turned away, O All-Powerful, and so multiplied the

He has tyrannized and ruled, O Almighty, spreading

corruption in full sight of Your eternal power.

Corruption before Thine eternal omnipotence

تشامخ بغياً يا قدير ودونه

تشامخ بغياً يا قدير ودونه

مصارع أهل البغي غير بطيئة

مصارع أهل البغي غير بطيئة

He grew haughty in oppression, O All-Powerful, though before him

He has rebelled in insolence, O Almighty, and beneath him

lie the downfalls of oppressors, not long delayed.

Are the perils of the insolent, not slow to come

واخلد أمناً يا قدير وإنما

واخلد أمناً يا قدير وإنما

على المكر والامهال حمل القضية

على المكر والامهال حمل القضية

And he rests secure, O All-Powerful, yet only

Make safety, O Almighty, though he feels secure

as stratagem and reprieve can the matter be understood.

Bearing his case on cunning and procrastination

تداركه قصماً يا قدير فإنه

تداركه قصماً يا قدير فإنه

تصاعد عن أطواره البشرية

تصاعد عن أطواره البشرية

Overtake him with a crushing blow, O All-Powerful, for he

Restrain him, O Almighty, for he has transcended

has soared beyond his human bounds.

The degrees of humankind in his ascent

ومزقه لا تمهله كل ممزق

ومزقه لا تمهله كل ممزق

وعاجله وحيا يا قدير بنقمة

وعاجله وحيا يا قدير بنقمة

And tear him utterly apart; grant him no respite.

Tear him, do not delay, to fragments entire

And assail him swiftly, O All-Powerful, with retribution.

Afflict him alive, O Almighty, with vengeance

وخذه وشتت جمعه يا قدير لا

وخذه وشتت جمعه يا قدير لا

تدع منهم في الأرض نافخ ضرمة

تدع منهم في الأرض نافخ ضرمة

And seize him and scatter his host, O All-Powerful; do not

Seize him and scatter utterly his band

leave a single one of them on earth to blow upon an ember.

Leave of them on earth not a blower of fire

وانزل عليهم يا قدير صواعق ال

وانزل عليهم يا قدير صواعق ال

نكير وبوئهم بأفظع بهلة

نكير وبوئهم بأفظع بهلة

And send down upon them, O All-Powerful, the thunderbolts of

Rain down on them, O Almighty, lightnings of

chastisement, and consign them to the most dreadful curse.

Chastisement; fill them with most hideous confusion

وجرد عليهم سيف مقتك يا قدي

وجرد عليهم سيف مقتك يا قدي

ر مختطفاً أرواحهم قيد خطفة

ر مختطفاً أرواحهم قيد خطفة

And unsheathe against them the sword of Your loathing, O All-Powerful,

Unsheathe against them Thy sword of wrath, O Almighty

snatching their souls away in a single instant.

Snatching their souls in one swift stroke

وألب عليهم حزبك الغالبين يا

وألب عليهم حزبك الغالبين يا

قدير وخذلهم بضعف وذلة

قدير وخذلهم بضعف وذلة

And rally against them Your victorious host, O

Set upon them Thy conquering host, O Almighty

All-Powerful, and forsake them in weakness and humiliation.

Leave them in weakness and disgrace

وزلزل بهم أركانهم وعروشهم

وزلزل بهم أركانهم وعروشهم

بأية أرض يا قدير وبقعة

بأية أرض يا قدير وبقعة

And shake their pillars and their thrones beneath them,

Shake their pillars and thrones in whatever land, O Almighty

in whatever land, O All-Powerful, and whatever place.

And region they inhabit
