الحمد للّه حق الحمد للّه

بما به قام حق الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise rightly due to God,

through that by which the due of praise to God is upheld.

الحمد للّه اطلاقاً بلا أمد

قبل الوجود وجوب الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, without restriction or limit in time;

before existence, praise was due to God.

الحمد للّه أهل الحمد في أزل

قبل الاضافات منا الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, worthy of praise from all eternity;

before our attributions, praise be to God.

الحمد للّه لا حصر ولا عدد

ولا حدود لعظم الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, beyond reckoning or number,

with no bounds to the greatness of praise to God.

الحمد للّه لا عدل ولا مثل

ولا نظير لقدر الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with no equal or likeness,

nor any counterpart to the worth of praise to God.

الحمد للّه لا بدء ولا أجل

ولا فناء لباقي الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, without beginning or appointed end,

nor any passing away for enduring praise to God.

الحمد للّه بالحمد الرضي له

وفوق ما يرتضيه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise pleasing to Him,

and beyond what He approves—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه بالحمد الذي عجزت

عنه القوى في مقام الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise beyond the capacity

of all powers in the station of praise to God.

الحمد للّه بالحمد المنير على

أسمائه قائماً بالحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise shining upon

His names, standing firm in praise to God.

الحمد للّه بالحمد الذي وصفت

صفاته من نعوت الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise whose

qualities are described among the epithets of praise to God.

الحمد للّه بالحمد المصون لدى

خزائن الوحي بحر الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise kept safe within

the treasuries of revelation—the ocean of praise to God.

الحمد للّه بالحمد الأخص به

مستغرقاً لكمال الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise most particular to Him,

encompassing the perfection of praise to God.

الحمد للّه بالحمد الملي به

يفنى الوجود ويبقى الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise worthy of Him;

existence passes away, but praise to God remains.

الحمد للّه بالحمد الذي هدر ال

عرش العظيم به في الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with the praise at which the

mighty Throne resounded in praise to God.

الحمد للّه بالحمد الملظ به ال

كرسي في سبحات الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise on which the

Seat dwells unceasingly amid the glories of praise to God.

الحمد للّه بالحمد الذي زجلت

به الملائك أهل الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise chanted aloud

by the angels, the people of praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمد الأنبياء له

على مقاماتها في الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with the prophets' praise of Him,

according to their stations in praise to God.

الحمد للّه بالحمد المحيط به

محمد متلقي الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with the praise fully comprehended

by Muhammad, the recipient of praise to God.

الحمد للّه بالحمد الذي خزنت

أسراره في محيط الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise whose

secrets are stored in the ocean of praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمد المخلصين له

حمداً يكافىء فضل الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with the sincere devotees' praise of Him,

praise matching the bounty of praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً طيباً جللاً

مباركاً فيه أسنى الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise good and great,

blessed within itself, the most exalted praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً زاكياً قدساً

مستوفياً طيبات الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise pure and holy,

embracing all the goodness of praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً لائقاً بجلا

ل اللّه مستوعباً للحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise befitting the majesty

of God, encompassing all praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً يستمر بلا

طرف شمولاً لجنس الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise continuing without

end, embracing every kind of praise to God.

الحمد للّه مقروناً بنعمته

حمداً يطابق شأن الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, joined to His blessing,

praise befitting the dignity of praise to God.

الحمد للّه موصولاً تتم به

مراتب الشكر لي والحمد للّه

Praise be to God, unbroken, through which are fulfilled

for me the ranks of gratitude; and praise be to God.

الحمد للّه مني لا وقوف له

دون الرضا وتمام الحمد للّه

Praise be to God from me, never ceasing

short of His pleasure and the fullness of praise to God.

الحمد للّه مني أستزيد به

من نعمة اللّه حسن الحمد للّه

Praise be to God from me; through it I seek increase

of God's blessing—the excellence of praise to God.

الحمد للّه مني أستفيض به

من فيضه فيض وهب الحمد للّه

Praise be to God from me; through it I seek an outpouring

from His abundance, an outpouring of the gift of praise to God.

الحمد للّه مني أستمد به

مداد أسرار سر الحمد للّه

Praise be to God from me; through it I seek replenishment:

the sustaining supply of the mysteries of the secret of praise to God.

الحمد للّه مني أسترد به

فوائت الخير حيث الحمد للّه

Praise be to God from me; through it I reclaim

the good that passed me by, where praise belongs to God.

الحمد للّه مني أستهل به

لطائف اللّه لي في الحمد للّه

Praise be to God from me; through it I call forth

God's gentle favors for me in praise to God.

الحمد للّه مني استدر به

يديه من بركات الحمد للّه

Praise be to God from me; through it I seek an outpouring

from His two hands, from the blessings of praise to God.

الحمد للّه مني أستغيث به

أوحى الاغاثات غوث الحمد للّه

Praise be to God from me; through it I seek succor,

the swiftest help—the succor of praise to God.

الحمد للّه مني أستفز به

كربي ولا كرب عون الحمد للّه

Praise be to God from me; through it I drive away

my anguish; no anguish remains with the aid of praise to God.

الحمد للّه مني أستعيذ به

إن المعاذ معاذ الحمد للّه

Praise be to God from me; through it I seek refuge;

surely the refuge is the refuge of praise to God.

الحمد للّه مني أستجير به

من كل سوء يجير الحمد للّه

Praise be to God from me; through it I seek protection

from every evil; praise to God grants protection.

الحمد للّه مني أستقيل به

كل الخطايا وترك الحمد للّه

Praise be to God from me; through it I seek pardon for

all sins, and for neglecting praise to God.

الحمد للّه مني أستجيز به

حسبي جوائزه بالحمد للّه

Praise be to God from me; through it I seek gifts;

His gifts suffice me, through praise to God.

الحمد للّه استكفي البلاء به

يكفي البلاء بفضل الحمد للّه

Praise be to God; through it I seek protection from affliction;

it wards off affliction by the grace of praise to God.

الحمد للّه استعطي الجزاء به

في مقعد الصدق مجلى الحمد للّه

Praise be to God; through it I ask for recompense

in the seat of truth, where praise to God shines forth.

الحمد للّه استوفي التقاة به

أوقى التقاة وفاء الحمد للّه

Praise be to God; through it I seek the fullness of piety;

the surest piety is the fulfillment of praise to God.

الحمد للّه استوقي الوعيد به

لم يشق مستسعد بالحمد للّه

Praise be to God; through it I seek shelter from the threatened punishment;

no one seeking happiness through praise to God has been wretched.

الحمد للّه أحياني وعلمني

وساسني وهداني الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: He gave me life and taught me,

guided my affairs and led me aright; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه أغناني وآثرني

وقام بي ورعاني الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: He enriched me and favored me,

sustained me and cared for me; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه عافاني وأكرمني

وخصني وحباني الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: He granted me well-being and honored me,

singled me out and bestowed gifts upon me; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه أعطاني وخولني

وسد أبواب فقري الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: He gave to me and endowed me,

and closed the doors of my poverty; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه زكاني وسددني

وحاطني وكفاني الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: He purified me and set me aright,

protected me and sufficed me; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه أولاني وأتحفني

في السر والجهر نعمى الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: He granted me favors and bestowed gifts upon me,

blessings in secret and in public; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه آواني وأيدني

بنصره وحماني الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: He sheltered me and strengthened me

with His victory, and guarded me; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه رباني وبوأني

مبوءاً من لدنه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: He nurtured me and settled me

in an abode from Him; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه نجاني وأنقذني

بنوره من ضلالي الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: He delivered me and rescued me

by His light from my straying; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه حلاني وميزني

بالعقل والعلم منه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: He adorned me and distinguished me

with reason and knowledge from Him; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه بالاحسان ألهمني

رشدي وعرفنيه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: in His goodness He inspired in me

my right course, and made it known to me; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه أدناني وأحسن بي

ولم شعثي وأمري الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: He drew me near and treated me well,

and put my disarray and my affairs in order; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه كم بالحلم سترني

في موبقات المعاصي الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: how often in forbearance He veiled me

amid the deadly perils of sins; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه كم خطب أبوء به

مما قضاه كفاه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: how many a calamity that I face

among His decrees He has warded off; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه كم نعماء أسبغها

ولم أقم بحقوق الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: how many blessings He has lavished,

yet I have not fulfilled the duties of praise to God.

الحمد للّه كم سراء جددها

لطفاً ومنا عليَّ الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: how many joys He has renewed

in kindness and favor toward me; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه كم ضراء بعدها

بحوله لا بحولي الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: how many hardships He has driven far away

by His power, not mine; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه كم أعداء مزقها

بكيده لا بكيدي الحمد للّه

Praise be to God: how many enemies He has scattered

by His stratagem, not mine; praise be to God.

الحمد للّه تمجيداً لعزته

وجهد عبد يبث الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, in glorification of His might,

and with a servant's utmost effort to pour forth praise to God.

الحمد للّه ذي الحمد الحميد وما

عساه أبلغه في الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, Possessor of praise, the Praiseworthy—and what

could I hope to attain in praise to God?

الحمد للّه أنعشني وصل على

محمد مع أهل الحمد للّه

Praise be to God; revive me, and send blessings upon

Muhammad, together with the people of praise to God.
