The effective doer, deserving of our praise
without any cause compelling praise.

and creation's praise is sheer grace from You.
And pure favor from Him, the praise of creation

O Praiseworthy in deeds, whose Face sustains praise,
The effective doer, established in praise as His essence
Your true perfection needs no praise from created nature.
Rich in perfection, beyond need of innate praise

لما يقتضي مجد الصفات العلية
O Praiseworthy in deeds, whose praise defies all reckoning,
The effective doer, defying encompassment of His praise
given what the glory of Your exalted attributes demands.
For what necessitates the glory of the lofty attributes

حميد الفعال ارفع بحمدك فاقتي
وأحمدand make praiseworthy مقاماتيmy spiritual stations وكملand perfect نقيصيتيmy deficiency
وأحمد مقاماتي وكمل نقيصيتي
O Praiseworthy in deeds, relieve my want through praise of You.
Effective doer, raise me in Your praise beyond my incapacity
And make my stations praiseworthy, and perfect what is lacking in me.
And praise my spiritual stations and complete my deficiencies
حميدpraiseworthy الفعالin deeds اجعلmake شئونيmy affairs حميدةpraiseworthy
حميد الفعال اجعل شئوني حميدة
بقبضيin my contraction وبسطيand my expansion عندduring أنسيmy intimacy ووحشتيand my desolation
بقبضي وبسطي عند أنسي ووحشتي
O Praiseworthy in deeds, make my affairs praiseworthy,
Effective doer, make my affairs praiseworthy
in my contraction and expansion, in my intimacy and desolation.
In my withholding and releasing, in my intimacy and loneliness
حميدpraiseworthy الفعالin deeds أبسطexpand لروحيfor my spirit ارتياحهاits joy
حميد الفعال أبسط لروحي ارتياحها
بحمدكthrough praise of You وابسطand expand فيin ثنائكpraise of You بسطتيmy expansiveness
بحمدك وابسط في ثنائك بسطتي
O Praiseworthy in deeds, expand my spirit's joy
Effective doer, expand for my soul its comfort
through praise of You, and increase my expansiveness in extolling You.
In Your praise, and expand my eulogy in Your eulogizing

حميد الفعال ارحم مقامي بائساً
لكto You الحمدpraise حمداًpraise طيباًpure فكrelieve عسرتيmy hardship
لك الحمد حمداً طيباً فك عسرتي
O Praiseworthy in deeds, have mercy on my wretched state.
Effective doer, have mercy on my station in misery
Praise is Yours, pure praise; relieve my hardship.
To You belongs praise, goodly praise, so relieve my difficulty
