بعلمكthrough Your knowledge فعلthe act الكفرof unbelief فيin القدميةeternity past
My God, who humbles the unbelievers for their unbelief,
O God, disgrace the disbelievers for their disbelief,
Through Your knowledge, from eternity past, of the act of unbelief.
You knew the act of disbelief from the beginning.
الهيmy God مذلhumbler of الماردينthe rebellious وإنand even if جرواthey run on

My God, who humbles the rebellious, though they run on
O God, disgrace the rebels even if they have drawn
For a time, they have not escaped to any refuge.
Towards a respite from which they did not flee due to inability.
أحاطhas surrounded بهمthem سلطانthe dominion قهرof subduing power وعزةand might
فهمso they وغنand even if اعتزواthey boast of might غروراًin delusion بذلةin abasement
The dominion of subduing power and might has surrounded them;
The sultan of subjugation and glory has surrounded them
Thus they remain abased, though in delusion they boast of might.
So they and whoever was arrogant out of vanity are humiliated.
الهيmy God ماnot أذلتYou have humbled نفساًa soul بمثلwith the like of ماthat which

My God, You have humbled no soul so much as through the very thing
O God, no soul has been humiliated like one
By which it exalted itself, claiming a share of rank and might.
Who has risen in the claim of fortune and glory.

ومنand from حيثwhere ظنتit thought نالتit had attained العزhonor ذلتit was humbled
And how can the soul rise above its station,
And how can the self ascend from its abode?
When it was humbled precisely where it thought it had gained honor?
And from where it thought it attained glory, it was humiliated.

My God, Your adversary has overstepped the bounds and transgressed
O God, your opponent has transgressed all bounds and committed aggression
Against God's sanctities through superior numbers.
Against the sanctities of God with the majority.

And Your knowledge of the enemies, my Lord, holds sway;
And Your knowledge, my Lord, of the enemies is all-encompassing,
And Your jealous zeal, O God, is the greatest zeal.
And Your zeal, O God, is the greatest zeal.

And the tyrant's might, even if its fortune flourishes,
And the glory of the tyrant, however much he multiplies it,
Will end in nothing but disgrace and abasement.
With insight, is only for humiliation and disgrace.

Calamities of abasement that batter his life
Calamities of disgrace that permeate his life
And crush him as dried grass is crushed to fragments.
And shatter him, crushing him like debris.
