وغيبا على تفصيل كل وجملة

My God bears witness to all beings in the visible realm,

My God, Witness to all beings in the seen realm,

and in the unseen, encompassing each particular and the whole.

And the unseen, in every detail and as a whole.

My God is Witness—ever-present, never absent;

You see, yet are not seen; not an atom’s weight escapes You.

A Witness, establishing and setting forth the clear proofs

Witness through laying out clear proofs and establishing them

of justice, divine Oneness, and the divine Attribute.

For justice, divine oneness, and the divine attributes.

All that exists is witness to You, my Lord, bearing witness,

Witness, all that exists, my Master, bears witness to You,

affirming that divine Oneness is beginningless.

Acknowledging Your eternal oneness.

بأنك لا تخفى عليك أنيتي

A Witness to my secret heart’s affirmation of Oneness and its knowledge

شهيد بتنوير القلوب شهوده

وايناسه الأسرار بالعارفية

He is Witness: His presence illumines hearts,

Witness—He is beheld through the illumination of hearts,

and brings intimacy to inner secrets through gnosis.

And His comforting of inner secrets with gnosis.

شهيد على سري ونجواي مطلقاً

شهيد على سري ونجواي مطلقاً

بدنيا وأخرى لست عنك بخفية

بدنيا وأخرى لست عنك بخفية

He is Witness to my secret heart and whispered prayer, without exception,

Witness to my secret and my whispered communion, without exception;

in this world and the next; I am in no way hidden from You.

In this world and the next, I am not hidden from You.

أعز جليس ما بأنسك وحشة
