فاعلاً في النفوس كل جميل

Indeed, fellowship has a subtle spirit,

Indeed, fellowship has a gentle, refreshing breath,

at work within souls, creating all that is beautiful.

Bringing forth every beautiful thing within souls.

قلما يكسب انفرادكَ فضلاً

قلما يكسب انفرادكَ فضلاً

ومع الاجتماع غرسُ العقول

ومع الاجتماع غرسُ العقول

Your solitude rarely earns you virtue,

Your solitude seldom earns merit,

while in fellowship minds are cultivated—

And with fellowship comes the cultivation of minds:

أدب حكمة كمال دعاء

أدب حكمة كمال دعاء

واقتناص المنقول والمعقولِ

واقتناص المنقول والمعقولِ

refinement, wisdom, perfection, prayer,

Refinement, wisdom, perfection, supplication,

and the gleaning of transmitted and rational knowledge.

And the capture of transmitted and rational knowledge.
