سبحان ذي اللطف بسم اللّه باللّه

سبحان ذي اللطف بسم اللّه باللّه

كم كربة حلها لطف من اللّه

كم كربة حلها لطف من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of gentle kindness; in Allah's name, through Allah.

Glory to the Benevolent, in the name of Allah, by Allah

How many a distress has kindness from Allah undone!

How many troubles were solved by Allah's kindness

سبحان ذي المن لم أرفع إليه يدي

سبحان ذي المن لم أرفع إليه يدي

فقرا فلم يغنني من اللّه

فقرا فلم يغنني من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of bounty; never have I raised my hand to Him

Glory to the Giver, though I did not raise my hands to Him in poverty, He did not enrich me with anything from Allah

in poverty without Allah's bounty enriching me.

Glory to the Opener, He never ceases to reach me, in every impasse there is an opening from Allah

سبحان ذي الفتح لا ينفك يدركني

سبحان ذي الفتح لا ينفك يدركني

في كل منغلق فتح من اللّه

في كل منغلق فتح من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of opening; there never fails to reach me,

Glory to the Victorious, how much injustice I died from, but He established justice for me, a victory from Allah

in every impasse, an opening from Allah.

Glory to the Bestower, He granted without cause, secretly and openly, gifts from Allah

سبحان ذي النصر كم ظلم منيت به

سبحان ذي النصر كم ظلم منيت به

فقام بالعدل لي نصر من اللّه

فقام بالعدل لي نصر من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of victory; how much injustice I have suffered!

Glory to the Gracious, His abundant grace surrounds me from all sides, a favor from Allah

Then victory from Allah upheld justice for me.

Glory to the Beneficent, His blessings upon me are continuous, a kindness from Allah

سبحان ذي الوهب وهاب بلا سبب

سبحان ذي الوهب وهاب بلا سبب

في السر والجهر لي وهب من اللّه

في السر والجهر لي وهب من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of gifts, the lavish Giver without cause;

Glory to the Expander, I did not spread my hands to Him, except that they expanded upon blessings from Allah

in secret and in public, I have gifts from Allah.

Glory to the Overflowing, His waters and abundance never run dry, an outpouring from Allah

سبحان ذي الفضل تغشاني فواضله

سبحان ذي الفضل تغشاني فواضله

من أوجه كلها فضل من اللّه

من أوجه كلها فضل من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of bounty; His favors envelop me

Glory to the Patient, how much adversity He changed to blessings before I called, a patience from Allah

from every quarter—all bounty from Allah.

Glory to the Generous, whatever hopes I sent Him, His generosity rushes to fulfill, a generosity from Allah

سبحان ذي البر والاحسان متصل

سبحان ذي البر والاحسان متصل

على الخصائص بي بر من اللّه

على الخصائص بي بر من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of goodness; beneficence is unceasing—

Glory to the All-Encompassing, no path ever narrowed for us except that He widened it, a capacity from Allah

goodness from Allah, reaching me in special ways.

Glory to the Mighty, with His might I do not fear humiliation, and His might protects me, a might from Allah

سبحان ذي البسط لم أبسط إليه يدي

سبحان ذي البسط لم أبسط إليه يدي

إلا انبسطت على بسط من اللّه

إلا انبسطت على بسط من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of abundance; never have I spread my hand toward Him

Glory to the Majestic, the giver of majesty, whenever I relied on myself and failed, to the majesty of Allah

without its opening upon abundance from Allah.

Glory to the Glorious, those who seek His glory, I complain of my disgrace to the honor of His glory, to Allah

سبحان ذي الفيض والآلاء ما نضبت

سبحان ذي الفيض والآلاء ما نضبت

مياه وفري على فيض من اللّه

مياه وفري على فيض من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of outpouring and blessings; never have

Glory to the King, He gives kingship and takes it away, nothing the creation owns except by bestowal from Allah

the waters of my plenty run dry, sustained by an outpouring from Allah.

Glory to the Transformer, how much injustice took turns upon me, but when He helped me, a transformation from Allah

سبحان ذي الطول كم ضراء بدلها

سبحان ذي الطول كم ضراء بدلها

نعماء قبل الدعا طول من اللّه

نعماء قبل الدعا طول من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of munificence; how much adversity has been changed

Glory to the Facilitator, how much difficulty surrounded me, but its knot was untied by an ease from Allah

to prosperity, before any prayer, by munificence from Allah!

Glory to the Spirit, I do not despair from any calamity, for every descent there is an uplifting spirit from Allah

سبحان ذي الجود ما أوفدت لي أملاً

سبحان ذي الجود ما أوفدت لي أملاً

إلا تخوله جود من اللّه

إلا تخوله جود من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of generosity; never have I sent forth a hope of mine

Glory to the Light, His wisdom does not lead astray, no mind goes astray with the light from Allah

without generosity from Allah nurturing it.

Glory to the All-Knowing, He gives and takes away knowledge, for all knowledge belongs to the knowledge of Allah

سبحان ذي الوسع ما ضاقت بنا سبل

سبحان ذي الوسع ما ضاقت بنا سبل

إلا ووسعها وسع من اللّه

إلا ووسعها وسع من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of spaciousness; never have our paths narrowed

Glory to the All-Powerful, my poverty did not aim for Him, for I gained independence through the power of Allah

without spaciousness from Allah widening them.

Glory to the Just, there is no injustice in His kingdom, judgment flows upon His justice

سبحان ذي العز لا أخشى بعزته

سبحان ذي العز لا أخشى بعزته

ذلاً ويشملني عز من اللّه

ذلاً ويشملني عز من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of might; through His might I fear no

Glory to the Equitable, I did not present my grievance except that His fairness addressed it, an equity from Allah

humiliation, while might from Allah embraces me.

Glory to the Wise, how much I disobeyed yet He forgives me, so if I return, I find His forbearance from Allah

سبحان ذي الجد معطي الجد ما استندت

سبحان ذي الجد معطي الجد ما استندت

نفسي فخابت إلى جد من اللّه

نفسي فخابت إلى جد من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of majesty, Giver of good fortune; never has

Glory to the Pardoning, how much wrong I commit yet He is vast toward me, forgiving and encompassing me despite coercion from Allah

my soul relied on good fortune from Allah and been disappointed.

Glory to the Overpowering, my defiance did not break Him when I relied upon the might of Allah

سبحان ذي المجد من تعنو الوجوه له

سبحان ذي المجد من تعنو الوجوه له

أشكو هواني لعز المجد للّه

أشكو هواني لعز المجد للّه

Glory to the Lord of glory, before whom faces bow;

Glory to the Firm, how much enmity He destroyed of mine, yet nothing withstands the grip of Allah

I lay my humiliation before glorious might belonging to Allah.

Glory to the Commander, a command with no repealing, and no escaping the command of Allah

سبحان ذي الملك يؤتيه وينزعه

سبحان ذي الملك يؤتيه وينزعه

ما يملك الخلق تمليك من اللّه

ما يملك الخلق تمليك من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of dominion; He grants it and takes it away;

Glory to the Judge, no leaning and no excess, no rebuttal in the judgement of Allah

whatever creatures possess is a grant from Allah.

Glory to the Good, I did not request anything burdensome except that He granted me good from Allah

سبحان ذي الحول كم ضيم تناوبني

سبحان ذي الحول كم ضيم تناوبني

فحال إذ مدني حول من اللّه

فحال إذ مدني حول من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of power; how much oppression has assailed me,

Glory to the Holy, protecting me from the corruptions of my nature, I remember to hallow Him, a sanctity from Allah

then passed when power from Allah sustained me!

Glory to the Praiseworthy, in His essence and attributes, a praise that fails all but Allah

سبحان ذي اليسر كم عسر تكنفني

سبحان ذي اليسر كم عسر تكنفني

فحل عقدته يسر من اللّه

فحل عقدته يسر من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of ease; how much hardship has hemmed me in,

Glory to the Utmost Mercy that encompassed all, oh Most Merciful have mercy on one hopeful for Allah's mercy

whose knot ease from Allah then untied!

Glory to the Greatest Favor that included all, with Allah's favor I hope for Allah's favor

سبحان ذي الروح لم أقنط لنازلة

سبحان ذي الروح لم أقنط لنازلة

لكل نازلة روح من اللّه

لكل نازلة روح من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of relief; I have never despaired at a calamity;

Glory to the Blessings that count our requests, though the blessings of Allah cannot be counted

for every calamity there is relief from Allah.

Glory to the Everlasting Honor without beginning or end, the honor of Allah

سبحان ذي النور ما أضللت حكمته

سبحان ذي النور ما أضللت حكمته

ما ضل عقل على نور من اللّه

ما ضل عقل على نور من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of light; I have not lost sight of His wisdom;

Glory to the Highest Power, none can evade His decree, the power of Allah

no mind has strayed while guided by light from Allah.

Glory to the Overpowering Grip, how much it broke whoever He willed to break, the living grip of Allah

سبحان ذي العلم يعطيه ويسلبه

سبحان ذي العلم يعطيه ويسلبه

فكل علم إلى علم من اللّه

فكل علم إلى علم من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of knowledge; He gives it and withdraws it;

Glory to the True Might, the firm, so I will not endure oppression and my pillar is the might of Allah

all knowledge leads back to knowledge from Allah.

Glory to the Pure Glorifications, what can my attributes hope to reach, the glorification of Allah

سبحان ذي الشأن لم تقصده مسكنتي

سبحان ذي الشأن لم تقصده مسكنتي

فما استقلت على شأن من اللّه

فما استقلت على شأن من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of exalted standing; my lowliness never sought Him

Glory to the Greatest in essence and attributes, Allah is Greater than all greatness, to Allah

without rising through a deed from Allah.

Glory to the Revered, Guardian of His sanctity, none dared violate the zeal of Allah

سبحان ذي القسط ما في الملك مظلمة

سبحان ذي القسط ما في الملك مظلمة

تجري القضايا على قسط من اللّه

تجري القضايا على قسط من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of equity; there is no injustice in His dominion;

Glory to the Avenger, fear His terrible wrath, the vengeance of Allah besets my enemies

judgments proceed according to equity from Allah.

Glory to the One whom the mighty Throne glorifies, and what encompasses it of the making of Allah

سبحان ذي العدل ما قدمت مظلمتي

سبحان ذي العدل ما قدمت مظلمتي

إلا تناولها عدل من اللّه

إلا تناولها عدل من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of justice; never have I presented my grievance

Glory to the One whom every event praises, though its praise falls short of the deserved praise of Allah

without justice from Allah taking it up.

Glory to the One, the True God, no true god but Him alone, the One Allah

سبحان ذي الحكم كم أعصي فيغفر لي

سبحان ذي الحكم كم أعصي فيغفر لي

فإن أعد باء لي حلم من اللّه

فإن أعد باء لي حلم من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of judgment; how often I disobey, yet He forgives me!

Glory to the Originator of creation, Restorer of what passed away, how quick is the creation of Allah

And if I return, forbearance from Allah returns to me.

Glory to the One who granted us favor in His wisdom, and the good is what His wisdom intends, the wisdom of Allah

سبحان ذي العفو كم أهفو فيوسعني

سبحان ذي العفو كم أهفو فيوسعني

صفحاً ويشملني على قهر من اللّه

صفحاً ويشملني على قهر من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of pardon; how often I falter, yet He grants me

Glory to the One by whose favor things become wholesome, blessed is the one arranged by Allah's choice

ample forgiveness and embraces me, despite Allah's overwhelming might.

Glory to the Maker of wondrous creations, wonders of Allah, inspire me with the breath of Allah

سبحان ذي القهر ما قهري بمنفصم

سبحان ذي القهر ما قهري بمنفصم

حيث اعتمدت على قهر من اللّه

حيث اعتمدت على قهر من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of overwhelming might; my own might is unbroken,

Glory to the Guardian of tenderness, His kindness attends every state, the kindness of Allah

since I have relied on overwhelming might from Allah.

Glory to the One whose subtlety relieved my anxiety, how much distress was dispelled by the relief of Allah

سبحان ذي البطش كم أردى عداي وما

سبحان ذي البطش كم أردى عداي وما

يقوم شيء على بطش من اللّه

يقوم شيء على بطش من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of the mighty grasp; how often He has slain my foes! Nothing

Glory to the One whose help alleviated my sorrow, it is Allah's way to attend to me, the way of Allah

can withstand a mighty grasp from Allah.

Glory to the One whose aid mended my brokenness, His support never left my state, a support from Allah

سبحان ذي الأمر أمراً لا مرد له

سبحان ذي الأمر أمراً لا مرد له

ولا محالة عن أمر من اللّه

ولا محالة عن أمر من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of command—a command none can repel;

Glory to the One whose gifts returned my poverty, if His hand begins to enrich me, the hand of Allah

there is no escape from a command of Allah.

Glory to the One whose treasuries encompassed my request, Allah possesses what He wills among His bounties

سبحان ذي الحكم لا ميلَ ولا شطط

سبحان ذي الحكم لا ميلَ ولا شطط

ولا معقب في حكم من اللّه

ولا معقب في حكم من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of judgment; there is no bias or excess,

Glory to the One whose protection kept me from what He decreed, and what can protect besides the protection of Allah?

nor anyone to reverse a judgment from Allah.

Glory to the One who knows my whispers and elevates them, no secret or open speech escapes the encompassing of Allah

سبحان ذي الخير ما استرفدته حرجاً

سبحان ذي الخير ما استرفدته حرجاً

إلا وعاجلني خير من اللّه

إلا وعاجلني خير من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of goodness; never have I sought His aid in distress

Glory to the One who hears my laments and has mercy, every harm has bowed to the kindness of Allah

without goodness from Allah swiftly reaching me.

Glory to the One who sees distresses and removes them, who removes distresses but Allah?

سبحان ذي القدس عن آفات فطرتنا

سبحان ذي القدس عن آفات فطرتنا

لي ذكر تقديسه قدس من اللّه

لي ذكر تقديسه قدس من اللّه

Glory to the Lord of holiness, free of the flaws of our nature;

Glory to the One who accepts my supplications and honors them, though I have no rightful claim upon Allah

for me, proclaiming Him holy is sanctification from Allah.

Glory to the One whose glance from Him brought me bliss, blessed am I if I am made happy by Allah's glance

سبحان ذي الحمد في ذات وفي صفة

سبحان ذي الحمد في ذات وفي صفة

حمداً يؤود اداءً من سوى اللّه

حمداً يؤود اداءً من سوى اللّه

Glory to the Lord of praise, in essence and in attribute—

Glory to the One whose subtlety inspired my distress, the subtleties of Allah dispel the severities of Allah

praise whose rendering would burden anyone but Allah.

Glory to the Glorious, I cannot enumerate His praises, the deserved praise is Allah praising Allah

سبحان ذي الرحمة العظمى التي وسعت

سبحان ذي الرحمة العظمى التي وسعت

يا راحم ارحم مرجي رحمة اللّه

يا راحم ارحم مرجي رحمة اللّه

Glory to the Lord of supreme mercy, which embraces all;

Glory to the Glorious, sustain me and bestow prayers upon Muhammad, our aid, and the elite of Allah

O Merciful One, have mercy on him who hopes for Allah's mercy.

سبحان ذي المنة الكبرى التي شملت

سبحان ذي المنة الكبرى التي شملت

بمنة اللّه أرجو منة اللّه

بمنة اللّه أرجو منة اللّه

Glory to the Lord of the greatest favor, which embraces all;

through Allah's favor I hope for Allah's favor.

سبحان ذي النعمة المحصي مطالبنا

سبحان ذي النعمة المحصي مطالبنا

وليس تحصي بعدٍ نعمة اللّه

وليس تحصي بعدٍ نعمة اللّه

Glory to the Lord of blessing, who counts our needs;

yet by no reckoning can you count Allah's blessing.

سبحان ذي العزة الباقي القديم بلا

سبحان ذي العزة الباقي القديم بلا

بدء ولا لانتهاء عزة اللّه

بدء ولا لانتهاء عزة اللّه

Glory to the Lord of might, the Everlasting, the Eternal, without

beginning; and Allah's might has no end.

سبحان ذي القدرة الأعلى فلا أحد

سبحان ذي القدرة الأعلى فلا أحد

بفائت قدره عن قدرة اللّه

بفائت قدره عن قدرة اللّه

Glory to the Lord of power, the Most High; no one

can elude His decree or pass beyond Allah's power.

سبحان ذي السطوة الغلاب كم قصمت

سبحان ذي السطوة الغلاب كم قصمت

من شاء قصمي وحياً سطوة اللّه

من شاء قصمي وحياً سطوة اللّه

Glory to the Lord of force, the All-Conquering; how often it has crushed

those wishing to crush me—Allah's force, striking swiftly!

سبحان ذي القوة الحق المتين فلن

سبحان ذي القوة الحق المتين فلن

اسام ضيماً وركني قوة اللّه

اسام ضيماً وركني قوة اللّه

Glory to the Lord of strength, the True, the Firm; I shall never

be subjected to oppression, with Allah's strength my support.

سبحان ذي السبحات الطاهرات وما

سبحان ذي السبحات الطاهرات وما

عساه يبلغ نعتي سبحة اللّه

عساه يبلغ نعتي سبحة اللّه

Glory to the Lord of pure splendors; how

could my description ever reach Allah's radiance?

سبحان ذي الكبر في ذات وفي صفة

سبحان ذي الكبر في ذات وفي صفة

اللّه أكبر كل الكبر للّه

اللّه أكبر كل الكبر للّه

Glory to the Lord of greatness, in essence and in attribute;

Allah is greatest; all greatness belongs to Allah.

سبحان ذي الحرمة الحامي لحرمته

سبحان ذي الحرمة الحامي لحرمته

لم تنأ عن ذي انتهاك غيرة اللّه

لم تنأ عن ذي انتهاك غيرة اللّه

Glory to the Lord of sanctity, the Guardian of His sanctity;

Allah's jealous zeal has never been far from a violator.

سبحان ذي النقمة المخشي صولتها

سبحان ذي النقمة المخشي صولتها

حلي بسوح عدائي نقمة اللّه

حلي بسوح عدائي نقمة اللّه

Glory to the Lord of retribution, whose onslaught is feared;

descend upon my enemies' courts, O retribution of Allah!

سبحان من سبح العرش العظيم له

سبحان من سبح العرش العظيم له

وما أحاط به من صنعة اللّه

وما أحاط به من صنعة اللّه

Glory to Him whom the mighty Throne glorifies,

and all it encompasses of Allah's handiwork.

سبحان من حمدته كل حادثة

سبحان من حمدته كل حادثة

وحمدها دون حق الحمد للّه

وحمدها دون حق الحمد للّه

Glory to Him whom every created thing has praised,

though its praise falls short of the praise rightly due to Allah.

سبحان ذي الوحدة الحق الألوهة لا

سبحان ذي الوحدة الحق الألوهة لا

إله بالحق غير الواحد اللّه

إله بالحق غير الواحد اللّه

Glory to the Lord of oneness, true in divinity; there is no

true god but the One, Allah.

سبحان ذي مبدىء الأشياء المعيد لما

سبحان ذي مبدىء الأشياء المعيد لما

أفنى وما أسرع التكوين للّه

أفنى وما أسرع التكوين للّه

Glory to Him, the Originator of things, who restores what

He has brought to nothing; how swift is creation for Allah!

سبحان من ساسنا فضلاً بحكمته

سبحان من ساسنا فضلاً بحكمته

والخير ما تقتضيه حكمة اللّه

والخير ما تقتضيه حكمة اللّه

Glory to Him who has governed us graciously through His wisdom;

and goodness is what Allah's wisdom requires.

سبحان ذي من تصلح الأشياء خيرته

سبحان ذي من تصلح الأشياء خيرته

أسعد بمن دبرته خيرة اللّه

أسعد بمن دبرته خيرة اللّه

Glory to the Lord whose choosing sets things right;

how fortunate is he whom Allah's choice has guided!

سبحان مبدع ابداع العجائب يا

سبحان مبدع ابداع العجائب يا

عجائب اللّه سوقي نفحة اللّه

عجائب اللّه سوقي نفحة اللّه

Glory to Him who originates the creation of wonders! O

wonders of Allah, bring a breath of grace from Allah!

سبحان مستودع المألوه رأفته

سبحان مستودع المألوه رأفته

تعهدت كل طور رأفة اللّه

تعهدت كل طور رأفة اللّه

Glory to Him who entrusts the worshipped one with His compassion;

Allah's compassion has watched over every stage.

سبحان من فرجت همي لطائفه

سبحان من فرجت همي لطائفه

كم زحزح الضيق تفريج من اللّه

كم زحزح الضيق تفريج من اللّه

Glory to Him whose gentle favors have relieved my care;

how often relief from Allah has driven distress away!

سبحان من كشفت غمي اغاثته

سبحان من كشفت غمي اغاثته

وعادة الّه عندي عادة اللّه

وعادة الّه عندي عادة اللّه

Glory to Him whose aid has dispelled my grief;

and Allah's way with me is Allah's way.

سبحان من جبرت كسري معونته

سبحان من جبرت كسري معونته

ما انفك عن حالتي عون من اللّه

ما انفك عن حالتي عون من اللّه

Glory to Him whose help has mended my brokenness;

help from Allah has never departed from my plight.

سبحان من عودت فقري عوارفه

سبحان من عودت فقري عوارفه

إن تستهل باغنائي يد اللّه

إن تستهل باغنائي يد اللّه

Glory to Him whose favors have taught my poverty

that Allah's hand pours forth to enrich me.

سبحان من وسعت سؤلي خزائنه

سبحان من وسعت سؤلي خزائنه

للّه ما قدره في أنعم اللّه

للّه ما قدره في أنعم اللّه

Glory to Him whose treasuries encompass my requests;

to Allah belongs what He has ordained among Allah's blessings.

سبحان من عصمتي فيما يقدره

سبحان من عصمتي فيما يقدره

به وامنع شيء عصمة اللّه

به وامنع شيء عصمة اللّه

Glory to Him—my protection amid what He ordains

is through Him; Allah's protection is the strongest defense.

سبحان من يعلم النجوى فيرفعها

سبحان من يعلم النجوى فيرفعها

ما فات سر وجهر حيطة اللّه

ما فات سر وجهر حيطة اللّه

Glory to Him who knows secret prayer and raises it up;

no secret or open speech has escaped Allah's encompassing awareness.

سبحان من يسمع الشكوى فيرحمها

سبحان من يسمع الشكوى فيرحمها

قد قانت كل ضير عطفة اللّه

قد قانت كل ضير عطفة اللّه

Glory to Him who hears complaint and has mercy on it;

Allah's tenderness has indeed healed every hurt.

سبحان من يبصر البلوى فيكشفها

سبحان من يبصر البلوى فيكشفها

وحياً ومن يكشف البلوى سوى اللّه

وحياً ومن يكشف البلوى سوى اللّه

Glory to Him who sees affliction and removes it

swiftly; and who removes affliction but Allah?

سبحان من يقبل الدعوى فيكرمها

سبحان من يقبل الدعوى فيكرمها

تطولاً ليس من حق على اللّه

تطولاً ليس من حق على اللّه

Glory to Him who accepts the plea and honors it

out of generosity, not from any obligation binding Allah.

سبحان من نظرة من عنده نظري

سبحان من نظرة من عنده نظري

سعدت إن أسعدتني نظرة اللّه

سعدت إن أسعدتني نظرة اللّه

Glory to Him; a glance from Him is what I await;

I am blessed if Allah's glance makes me blessed.

سبحان من لطفه أوحى إلى كربي

سبحان من لطفه أوحى إلى كربي

لطائف اللّه تجلو شدة اللّه

لطائف اللّه تجلو شدة اللّه

Glory to Him whose kindness has whispered to my anguish;

Allah's gentle favors dispel Allah's severity.

سبحان سبحان لا أحصي الثناء له

سبحان سبحان لا أحصي الثناء له

حق الثناء ثناء اللّه للّه

حق الثناء ثناء اللّه للّه

Glory, glory! I cannot number the praises due to Him;

the praise truly due is Allah's praise of Allah.

سبحان سبحان أدركني وصل على
