الهيmy God مميتGiver of death to الحيِّthe living مستأثرُsole possessor of البقاeternity
الهي مميت الحيِّ مستأثرُ البقا
عدوكYour enemy حزexact الحقjustice منهfrom him بشفرةwith a blade
عدوك حز الحق منه بشفرة
My God, Giver of death to the living, sole Possessor of eternity,
Exact justice from Your enemy with a blade.
أمتهput him to death مميتGiver of death to الحيthe living مفنيAnnihilator of خلقهHis creation
أمته مميت الحي مفني خلقه
بداميةwith a bloody stroke تغتالهkilling him unawares ذاتpossessing مرةstrength
بدامية تغتاله ذات مرة
Put him to death, O Giver of death to the living, Annihilator of His creation,
With a bloody, mighty stroke that kills him unawares.
أمتهput him to death مميتGiver of death to الحيthe living بالذلthrough humiliation موبقاًbringing to ruin
أمته مميت الحي بالذل موبقاً
فقدfor indeed عاشتhave lived الهلاكthe wretched منهbecause of him بغصةin choking anguish
فقد عاشت الهلاك منه بغصة
Put him to death, O Giver of death to the living, bringing him to ruin through humiliation;
For the wretched have lived in choking anguish because of him.
أمتهput him to death مميتGiver of death to الحيthe living وافللand blunt حدودهhis edges
أمته مميت الحي وافلل حدوده
فليسso there is not علىon حدan edge لهof his جزءa shred of قوةstrength
فليس على حد له جزء قوة
Put him to death, O Giver of death to the living, and blunt his edges,
So no shred of strength remains in any edge of his.
وخذand take لحدودfor the ordinances of اللّهGod منهfrom him بثارهاvengeance for them
وخذ لحدود اللّه منه بثارها
فكمfor how often ضامهاhe violated them إذwhen عزwas scarce حاميa defender of الحقيقةtruth
فكم ضامها إذ عز حامي الحقيقة
And take vengeance upon him for God's ordinances,
For how often he violated them when a defender of truth was hard to find.
ودمدمand bring devastation علىupon أنصارهhis supporters واصطلمهموand annihilate them
ودمدم على أنصاره واصطلمهمو
بماfor what اصطلموهthey obliterated it منof حقوقthe rights of الشريعةthe sacred Law
بما اصطلموه من حقوق الشريعة
And bring devastation upon his supporters, and annihilate them,
For the rights of the sacred Law that they have obliterated.
أمتهمput them to death مميتGiver of death to الحيthe living بالخسفby engulfment in the earth والوباand pestilence
أمتهم مميت الحي بالخسف والوبا
وبالطعنand by spear-thrusts والطاعونand plague أشنعthe most hideous موتةmanner of death
وبالطعن والطاعون أشنع موتة
Put them to death, O Giver of death to the living, by the earth swallowing them and by pestilence,
And by spear-thrusts and plague—the most hideous death.
أمتهمput them to death وأهلكand destroy نسلهمtheir offspring وبلادهمand their lands
أمتهم وأهلك نسلهم وبلادهم
فماfor there is no لكfor You فيamong أمثالهمtheir like منany بقيةremnant to spare
فما لك في أمثالهم من بقية
Put them to death, and destroy their offspring and their lands,
For You have nothing to preserve among the likes of them.
أمتهمput them to death مميتGiver of death to الحيthe living واحصدand reap جموعهمtheir multitudes
أمتهم مميت الحي واحصد جموعهم
بأخذwith the grip of العذابtorment الهونhumiliating فيat حينa moment of غفلةheedlessness
بأخذ العذاب الهون في حين غفلة
Put them to death, O Giver of death to the living, and reap their multitudes,
With the grip of humiliating torment, at a moment of heedlessness.
أمتهمput them to death ببثby sowing الشرevil فيin ذاتthe state of بينهمtheir mutual relations
أمتهم ببث الشر في ذات بينهم
ودائرةand a calamity تطويهمengulfing them مدلهمةpitch-dark
ودائرة تطويهم مدلهمة
Put them to death by sowing evil in the bonds between them,
And by a pitch-dark calamity that engulfs them.
أمتهمput them to death بخبلwith the ruin of اللّهGod تعقرYou strike at عقرهمtheir very root
أمتهم بخبل اللّه تعقر عقرهم
وكلand every كميarmored champion ناصرaiding اللّهGod بهمةwith resolve
وكل كمي ناصر اللّه بهمة
Put them to death with the ruin God sends, striking at their very root,
And through every armored champion who aids God with resolve.
