Exalted are You, O Truth whose self-subsistence is in His very essence;

Exalted are You, O Truth, subsistent by Your own essence;

a Truth realized—not made true by any confirmer.

A true reality, not through an affirmer's affirmation.

تعاليت يا حق الوجود بلا انتفا

تعاليت يا حق الوجود بلا انتفا

ولا أمد يقضى على الثابتية

ولا أمد يقضى على الثابتية

Exalted are You, O Truth of Being, untouched by extinction,

Exalted are You, O Truth of existence, free of nonbeing;

with no term decreed to end Your everlasting constancy.

Nor any time limit that brings permanence to an end.

تمجدت يا حق الألوهة واجب

تمجدت يا حق الألوهة واجب

لوجهك منا واجبات العبودة

لوجهك منا واجبات العبودة

Glorious are You, O Truth of divinity; what is due

Glorious are You, O Truth of divinity; owed

to Your countenance from us are the duties of servitude.

To Your countenance by us are the duties of servitude.

تعظمت يا حق الربوبية التي

تعظمت يا حق الربوبية التي

تجلت بقهر واقتدار ورحمة

تجلت بقهر واقتدار ورحمة

Supreme are You, O Truth of that lordship which

Great are You, O Truth of lordship, which

reveals itself in irresistible power, sovereign might, and mercy.

Manifested itself through overpowering might, power, and mercy.

تعززت يا حق الجلال بما له

تعززت يا حق الجلال بما له

من الكبريا والمجد والسطوية

من الكبريا والمجد والسطوية

Mighty are You, O Truth of majesty, with all it possesses

Mighty are You, O Truth of majesty, through what it possesses

of grandeur, glory, and overwhelming dominion.

Of grandeur, glory, and sovereign might.

تكبرت يا حق الكمال بما له

تكبرت يا حق الكمال بما له

من العز والتسبيح والعظمية

من العز والتسبيح والعظمية

Supremely great are You, O Truth of perfection, with all it possesses

Supremely great are You, O Truth of perfection, through what it possesses

of might, praise, and sublime grandeur.

Of might, glorification, and greatness.

تمجدت يا حق الجمال بماله

تمجدت يا حق الجمال بماله

من الرحموت المحض والعاطفية

من الرحموت المحض والعاطفية

Glorious are You, O Truth of beauty, with all it possesses

Glorious are You, O Truth of beauty, through what it possesses

of pure, all-embracing mercy and tender compassion.

Of pure, abounding mercy and tenderness.

تجليت لي يا حق في الخلق ظاهراً

تجليت لي يا حق في الخلق ظاهراً

فما ثبتت عند التجلي حقيقتي

فما ثبتت عند التجلي حقيقتي

You manifested Yourself to me, O Truth, outwardly in creation,

You manifested Yourself to me, O Truth, visible in creation;

and at that manifestation no reality of mine remained.

So my reality did not endure at the manifestation.

ومحضتني حقاً بحيث اخترعتني

ومحضتني حقاً بحيث اخترعتني

وعين مجاز في الوجود أنيتي

وعين مجاز في الوجود أنيتي

You distilled me into pure truth, just as You first fashioned me,

And You bestowed pure reality upon me insofar as You created me;

while my selfhood in existence is the very essence of metaphor.

Yet my selfhood in existence is sheer metaphor.

فيا حق بالحق اجعل الحق موقفي

فيا حق بالحق اجعل الحق موقفي

وفي الحق أطواري وبالحق قوتي

وفي الحق أطواري وبالحق قوتي

O Truth, by the Truth make Truth my steadfast station;

So, O Truth, by the Truth, make the Truth my station,

let all my states abide in Truth, and through Truth be my strength.

And let my states be in the Truth, and my strength through the Truth.

وأيد بنور الحق يا حق سطوتي

وأيد بنور الحق يا حق سطوتي

ومجد لنفي البطل سلطان حجتي

ومجد لنفي البطل سلطان حجتي

And support my might with the light of Truth, O Truth;

And strengthen my might, O Truth, with the light of the Truth,

and glorify the sovereign force of my proof in banishing falsehood.

And exalt the authority of my proof to refute falsehood.
