Sol 6.1

  1. الهي خلقت الخلق والعجز قيدهم

    وكنت وكيلاً كافياً للخليقة

    My God, You created all beings, and helplessness fettered them,

    and You were a Trustee sufficient for creation.

  2. تعاليت موكولاً إليك مفوضاً

    مصالحهم فيا لدين والدنيوية

    Exalted are You; entrusted and committed to You

    are their interests in religion and worldly affairs.

  3. كفيت وآويت العباد وصنتهم

    وكيلاً رحيماً حافظ الأصلحية

    You provided for and sheltered the servants and protected them,

    a merciful Trustee, guarding their highest good.

  4. وقيت ودبرت الأمور كما تشا

    وكيلاً حفياً واقياً للبلية

    You protected and governed affairs as You wish,

    an attentive Trustee, warding off calamity.

  5. وقمت بتصريف العوالم حسبة

    فكل له حظ من النظرية

    And You undertook the ordering of the worlds without recompense;

    so each has a share of watchful care.

  6. كفيت ابتداء ثم واليت راعياً

    وتختم وهباً من جميل الولاية

    You provided from the outset, then continued as a guardian,

    and You conclude with a gift from Your gracious guardianship.

  7. منحت جزيلاً ثم أثنيت سيدي

    جميلاً وهذا غاية الكرمية

    You bestowed abundantly, then offered praise, my Master,

    graciously—and this is the height of generosity.

  8. ونعم الوكيل اللّه للعبد ما انثنى

    توكله عنه بخسر وخيبة

    And how excellent a Trustee God is for the servant: never has

    his reliance returned from Him with loss and disappointment.

  9. ونعم الوكيل اللّه للعبد إنما

    توكلنا قد ضل دون الحقيقة

    And how excellent a Trustee God is for the servant; it is only

    our reliance that has gone astray, falling short of the truth.

  10. وكيلي قد فوضت أمري مطلقاً

    إليك ولم أعلم سواك لخطتي

    My Trustee, I have entrusted my affairs entirely

    to You, and I have known none but You for my course.

  11. وكيلي اشهدني مقام توكلي

    عليك وحققن به وبتوبتي

    My Trustee, let me witness the station of my reliance

    on You, and establish me truly in it and in my repentance.
