Restorer of perished beings, as at their first creation,
O Restorer of perishing beings as at their first creation,
that the glory of absolute power may be revealed.

وماand ... is not العودthe return إلاbut البدءthe beginning منfrom حيثthe standpoint of حكمthe decree كنBe!
وما العود إلا البدء من حيث حكم كن
تعاليتexalted are You كلتاboth النشأتينthe two creations بقبضةin a single grasp
تعاليت كلتا النشأتين بقبضة
Return is but the beginning, insofar as both obey the decree “Be.”
And restoration is but first creation, as regards the decree 'Be!'
Exalted are You: both creations lie within Your grasp.

وفيand in النشأةthe creation الأولىfirst دلائلsigns تقتضيentail
وفي النشأة الأولى دلائل تقتضي
جلالmajesty اقتدارpower الحقthe True One لاnot بوسيطةthrough an intermediary
جلال اقتدار الحق لا بوسيطة
In the first creation are signs that attest
And in the first creation are signs that attest to
the majesty of the Almighty Truth’s power, exercised without intermediary.
The majesty of the True One's power, not through an intermediary.
وليسnor is معادresurrection الجسمthe body أعظمgreater رتبةin degree
وليس معاد الجسم أعظم رتبة
لمبدئهfor its Originator منthan رتبةdegree المبدئيةfirst creation
لمبدئه من رتبة المبدئية
The body’s resurrection is no greater an undertaking
Nor is the body's resurrection greater in degree
for its Originator than the original act of creation.
For its Originator than the degree of first creation.
الهيmy God سلطانdominion اقتداركYour power قاهرoverpowering
الهي سلطان اقتدارك قاهر
لنشأةover a creation ابداءorigination ونشأةand a creation عودةreturn
لنشأة ابداء ونشأة عودة
My God, the sovereign force of Your power prevails
My God, the dominion of Your power holds sway
over a creation brought forth and a creation restored.
Over the first creation and the creation of return.
فمصدرso the source خلقcreation العودthe return كالبدأlike the beginning واحدone
فمصدر خلق العود كالبدأ واحد
وماand ... is not حكمناour case إلاbut كنفسlike a soul وحيدةsingle
وما حكمنا إلا كنفس وحيدة
The source of the returning creation and the first is one;
So creation at the return, as at the beginning, has one source,
the decree concerning us is but as for a single soul.
And our case is but that of a single soul.
معيدRenewer أياديfavors الفضلgrace منfrom غيرno موجبcompelling cause
معيد أيادي الفضل من غير موجب
سوىsave كرمgenerosity محضpure وواسعand vast رحمةmercy
سوى كرم محض وواسع رحمة
Restorer of the bountiful gifts granted without any cause
O Renewer of gracious favors, with no compelling cause
save pure generosity and all-embracing mercy,
Save pure generosity and vast mercy.
أعدلset right ليfor me حظاًa share مزقتهtore it apart خطيئتيmy sin
أعدل لي حظاً مزقته خطيئتي
وحلand intervene سيديmy Master بينيbetween me وبينand between الخطيئةsin
وحل سيدي بيني وبين الخطيئة
restore to me a portion that my sin has torn apart,
Set right for me a share that my sin has torn apart,
and come, my Lord, between me and sin.
And stand, my Master, between me and sin.
أعدrestore ليto me اعتصاميmy holding fast فيin الشدائدthe hardships كلهاall of them
أعد لي اعتصامي في الشدائد كلها
بجاهكto Your honor ياO منthe One who جاههHis honor ركنpillar عصمتيmy protection
بجاهك يا من جاهه ركن عصمتي
Restore to me my refuge amid every hardship,
Restore to me my holding fast, amid all hardships,
through Your high honor, O You whose honor is the pillar of my protection.
To Your honor, O You whose honor is the pillar of my protection.
