مستغيث قد مسني الضر يا رح

من فاكشف ضري وبؤسي وقلي

O Succorer, affliction has stricken me, so help me

And dispel my harm and misery, and say to me,

مستمد فيض الرحيم بفقري

تحت باب الرحمى بقولي وفعلي

Seeking abundant grace from the Merciful in my poverty

Beneath the gate of Mercy with my words and deeds.

رب لا تقلني إلى حول نفسي

إنه ليس حول نفسي بحول

Lord, lead me not to my own devices,

For there is no resource in myself.

احي يا حي فطرتي فيك واجعل

لي نوراً يمشي به حال حضلي

Revive, O Living One, my nature which You originated,

And make for me a light to walk by in my bewildered state.

لم يفت يا قيوم علمك فقري

وانكساري وكيف سوء محلي

My poverty has not escaped Your knowledge, O Eternal Refuge,

Nor my downfall and evil situation.

يا وليى تول دفع خطوب

دفعتني ما بين ضر وذل

O My Master, take up the task of repelling disasters

That have struck me, between harm and degradation.

لست أرجو لها سوى وعدك الح

ق الذي يرتجيه يا حق مثلي

I hope for nothing but Your true promise,

Which the like of me hopes for, O Truth.

أولني أولية السبق يا أ

ول والقرب منك لي والتولي

Give me priority, O First and Foremost,

And nearness to You, and Your patronage.

القني يا قدوس في بحر تقدي

سك واغسل بالقدس نفسي وعقلي

Purify me, O Holy One, in the sea of Your holiness,

And wash my soul and intellect with purity.

واكسني يا سلام عافية تش

مل طورَيَّ واكفني كل هول

And clothe me, O Peace, with well-being

That embraces my two abodes, and spare me all terror.

هب لنفسي الإِيمان يا مؤمن الرو

عة واجعل خوفي لمقتك شغلي

Inspire my soul with faith, O You Who makes faith firm,

And make fear of You my occupation.

عظم الخطب يا مهيمن أدرك

ني وحياً غوثاً وغوثاه كن لي

The gravity of my situation has become great, O Guardian Lord;

Save me and give me life and be my life.

مزقت يا جبار شملي دواهي

فاجبر الصدع واجمع اليوم شملي

You have rent asunder, O Almighty, my collectedness;

So mend the breach and today recollect my scatteredness.

لا تذرني يا خالقي غرض البل

وى احطني من كل كيد وختل

Abandon me not, my Maker, to the power of trials;

Protect me from every deceit and danger.

باريء الكل ابرء النفس من زاد

ء عضال سرى بجزئي وكلي

O Creator of all, absolve my soul

Of the difficulties that secretly woke in my essence and my attributes.

صور الخوف منك في قلبي القا

سي وحسن الرجا مصور شكلي

Delineate fear of You in my heart, O Shaper,

And depict fine hoping in my form.
