فلاحظ للمقهور في الجبرية

فلاحظ للمقهور في الجبرية

You are exalted, O Almighty, in Your sovereign majesty;

so the subdued have no share in sovereign might.

تجبرت يا جبار عن نيل حادث

تجبرت يا جبار عن نيل حادث

وجدك أعلى أن تنال بوصمة

وجدك أعلى أن تنال بوصمة

You are exalted, O Almighty, beyond the reach of any created thing;

and Your majesty is too high for any blemish to touch You.

تجبرت جبار السموات غالباً

تجبرت جبار السموات غالباً

على كل شيء من صنوف الخليقة

على كل شيء من صنوف الخليقة

You are exalted, Compeller of the heavens, prevailing

over all things among the kinds of creation.

تجبرت يا جبار قهراً وسطوة

تجبرت يا جبار قهراً وسطوة

وعدلاً وتصريفاً وتقدير حكمة

وعدلاً وتصريفاً وتقدير حكمة

You are exalted, O Almighty, in subjugation and might,

and in justice, governance, and wise ordainment.

تجبرت يا جبار كسر عباده

تجبرت يا جبار كسر عباده

ومنعش جد العاثر المتشتت

ومنعش جد العاثر المتشتت

You are exalted, O Mender of Your servants’ brokenness,

and reviver of the fortunes of the stumbling, scattered one.

تجبرت جبار القلوب بثبتها

تجبرت جبار القلوب بثبتها

على الفطرة الأولى إذا لم تثبت

على الفطرة الأولى إذا لم تثبت

You are exalted, Restorer of hearts, by making them steadfast

in their original nature, when they do not stand firm.

تمزق يا جبار شملي وعزني ان

تمزق يا جبار شملي وعزني ان

جبار انكساري في قيود بليتي

جبار انكساري في قيود بليتي

My wholeness is torn apart, O Restorer, and beyond my power lies

the mending of my brokenness amid the fetters of my affliction.

وافظع يا جبار صدعي وبرحت

وافظع يا جبار صدعي وبرحت

بضعفي يا جبار كل رزيئة

بضعفي يا جبار كل رزيئة

And my fracture has grown grievous, O Restorer, and sorely afflicted

is my weakness, O Restorer, by every calamity.

وما لم يا جبار شعثى وصدعتي

وما لم يا جبار شعثى وصدعتي

سواك ولا أشكي سواك شكيتي

سواك ولا أشكي سواك شكيتي

And none has gathered my disarray and mended my fracture, O Restorer,

but You; to none but You do I voice my complaint.

ولا قام جبار علي تمردا

ولا قام جبار علي تمردا

فما عاجلته منك أسرع قصمة

فما عاجلته منك أسرع قصمة

Nor has any tyrant risen against me in defiance

without Your swiftest shattering blow overtaking him.

فقم لي بجبر الوهن واكسر شدائدي

فقم لي بجبر الوهن واكسر شدائدي

وكل مريد عارم متعفرت

وكل مريد عارم متعفرت

So come to my aid, mend my weakness, and break my hardships,

and every fierce, demon-like rebel.
