تقدست قدساً يا سلام مبرءاً

تقدست قدساً يا سلام مبرءاً

من النقص والآفات محض البراءة

You are utterly holy, O Peace, entirely free

You were sanctified with perfect sanctity, O Peace,

from imperfection and afflictions, wholly untainted.

Free from flaws and defects, sheer innocence.

You are flawless, so Peace's holiness bears no relation

You were delivered safely, for the sanctity of Peace confers no addition,

to a limit, nor are His negations bound by a condition.

Nor does it detract or attach any condition.

سلامة ذات الحق قدس لذاته

سلامة ذات الحق قدس لذاته

يشار إليه دون درك الحقيقة

يشار إليه دون درك الحقيقة

The flawlessness of the Real's essence is holiness intrinsic to Him;

The sanctity of the Essence of Truth is a sanctity of Its Own Self—

one may point toward it without grasping its true reality.

It is pointed to without apprehending the Reality.

وما مبلغ الادراك إلا سلامة

وما مبلغ الادراك إلا سلامة

لوجه السلام الحق في كل حضرة

لوجه السلام الحق في كل حضرة

And understanding reaches no further than the flawlessness

And the extent of apprehension is only the safeguarding

of the face of Peace, the Real, in every presence.

Of the countenance of Peace, the Truth, in every presence.

وليست مقامات الثناء وإن علت

وليست مقامات الثناء وإن علت

ببالغة تقديسه من طريقة

ببالغة تقديسه من طريقة

And the stations of praise, however high they rise,

And though stations of praise, however lofty they may be

can never fully hallow Him by any path.

In eloquently extolling It through some approach,

الهي سلمت الخليقة مبدءاً

الهي سلمت الخليقة مبدءاً

بايجادك الامكان بالأبدعية

بايجادك الامكان بالأبدعية

My God, You safeguarded creation at its beginning,

Are not It. My God, You delivered creation in the beginning

by bringing possibility into being through original creation.

By originating contingency through Your matchless devising.

وسلمتهم من بدئهم لمعادهم

وسلمتهم من بدئهم لمعادهم

من الظلم في اقدارك الأزلية

من الظلم في اقدارك الأزلية

And You safeguarded them, from their beginning to their return,

And You delivered them from their beginning to their return

from injustice in Your beginningless decrees.

From injustice in Your pre-eternal ordainments.

وسلمتهم من مطلق السر غير ما

وسلمتهم من مطلق السر غير ما

تضمن خيراً وهو عنهم بخفية

تضمن خيراً وهو عنهم بخفية

And You safeguarded them from all mystery, except what

And You delivered them from the absolute mystery other than what

contains good, though it is hidden from them.

Comprises good—and that is unbeknownst to them.

أجرني أجرني يا سلام من الأذى

أجرني أجرني يا سلام من الأذى

بديني والدنيا بأية وجهة

بديني والدنيا بأية وجهة

Shelter me, shelter me, O Peace, from harm

Save me! Save me, O Peace, from harm

in my faith and worldly life, from any quarter.

In my religion and worldly affairs in any direction!

فما يسلم المخلوق إن لم يكن له

فما يسلم المخلوق إن لم يكن له

بيمنى السلام الحق نشر السلامة

بيمنى السلام الحق نشر السلامة

For no creature is safe unless there is for it

For no creature is delivered unless to him belongs,

safety spread by the right hand of Peace, the Real.

Through the right hand of Peace, the spreading of security.

الهي حققني سلاماً ولقني

الهي حققني سلاماً ولقني

سلامك في دار السلام المقيمة

سلامك في دار السلام المقيمة

My God, make me truly embody peace, and let me receive

My God, cause me to be one characterized by peace, and inspire me to apprehend

Your peace in the everlasting Abode of Peace.

Your Peace in the Abode of Everlasting Peace!
