الهِيَ يا قيوم ذاتاً بذاته

الهِيَ يا قيوم ذاتاً بذاته

لوجهك قيومية الأحدية

لوجهك قيومية الأحدية

My God, O Self-Subsisting Sustainer, whose essence subsists by itself,

To Your Countenance belongs the self-subsistence of absolute Oneness.

ومن قام بالموجدة حفظاً وحيطة

ومن قام بالموجدة حفظاً وحيطة

ولطفاً وتدبيراً بأية نسبة

ولطفاً وتدبيراً بأية نسبة

And He who sustains created existence with preservation and encompassing care,

And kindness and governance, in every respect;

ومن قامت الدنيا والأخرى بأمره

ومن قامت الدنيا والأخرى بأمره

له فيهما تدبير حكم وحكمة

له فيهما تدبير حكم وحكمة

And He by whose command this world and the next subsist,

His governance in both proceeds with judgment and wisdom.

الهي قيوم السموات والفضا

الهي قيوم السموات والفضا

ء والأرض وما فيهما من حادثية

ء والأرض وما فيهما من حادثية

My God, Self-Subsisting Sustainer of the heavens and space,

And the earth, and all created existence within them;

بسر اسمك القيوم عرشك قائم

بسر اسمك القيوم عرشك قائم

ومن حملته أو بعرشك حفت

ومن حملته أو بعرشك حفت

Through the mystery of Your name, the Self-Subsisting Sustainer, Your Throne stands,

And those who bear it or surround Your Throne.

بسر اسمك القيوم كرسيك احتوى

بسر اسمك القيوم كرسيك احتوى

سماواتك العليا وجرم البسيطة

سماواتك العليا وجرم البسيطة

Through the mystery of Your name, the Self-Subsisting Sustainer, Your Seat encompasses

Your highest heavens and the body of the earth.

بسر اسمك القيوم في ملكوته

بسر اسمك القيوم في ملكوته

تجلى سنا الالهام للملكية

تجلى سنا الالهام للملكية

Through the mystery of Your name, the Self-Subsisting Sustainer, in His dominion,

The radiance of inspiration shone forth to the angelic beings.

بسر اسمك القيوم في الملك فهمنا

بسر اسمك القيوم في الملك فهمنا

خطابك ما قد تقتضي كل آية

خطابك ما قد تقتضي كل آية

Through the mystery of Your name, the Self-Subsisting Sustainer, in the visible realm we understood

Your speech—what each verse may entail.

أقمني بقيومية الحق شاهداً

أقمني بقيومية الحق شاهداً

لسر اسمك القيوم في كل ذرة

لسر اسمك القيوم في كل ذرة

Establish me through the sustaining power of the Truth as a witness

To the mystery of Your name, the Self-Subsisting Sustainer, in every particle.

وفي كل أطواري أقمني بسره

وفي كل أطواري أقمني بسره

بحقك قيوماً على بشريتي

بحقك قيوماً على بشريتي

And in all my states, establish me through its mystery,

By Your truth, as a sustainer over my human nature.

وهب لي بقيومية اللّه مقسماً

وهب لي بقيومية اللّه مقسماً

به قطع أشقائي ووصل سعادتي

به قطع أشقائي ووصل سعادتي

And grant me, through God's sustaining power, an oath,

Through which my misery is severed and my happiness joined to me.
