Exalted are You, O Everlasting One, beyond all temporal bounds,
Exalted are You, O Everlasting One, without temporal limit,
as You were before all before, in pre-eternity.
As You were before 'before,' in beginningless eternity.

Your existence, my Lord, is necessary, subject to no endpoint
Your existence, my Lord, is necessary, with no limit
that can be measured in times or numbers.
That can be measured by spans of time and number.

Your abiding, O Everlasting One, subsists through itself,
Your endurance, O Everlasting One, is endurance in its own right,
while every other abiding beneath it is bounded by an end.
And every endurance beneath it is subject to an end.

Through the Real, creation is sustained, while the Real stands self-subsistent,
And through the Truth He enriches creation, while the Truth abides,
exalted beyond any established thing's preserving Him.
Exalted is He, without keeping any established thing in being.

The eons pass away, while the Real remains steadfast,
And the ages pass away, while the Truth stands firm,
as He was before all before, without end.
As He was before 'before,' without an end.

He whose abiding is measured by the eons—
And He who measured out the ages—His endurance would be
his lasting to their utmost limit is an impossible state.
An impossible state if bounded by their end.

What are perishing eternity and all that revolves
And perishing eternity, and whatever revolves
within it but traces of the Everlasting One, possessed of divinity?
Around it, are but traces of the One whose divinity endures.

An ancient abiding, renewed by no further continuance,
A beginningless endurance that no endurance renews,
nor brought to an end by the decrees of creation;
Nor do the affairs of creation bring it to an end.

A beginningless endurance: everything perishes before it,
while He remains without condition or ulterior purpose.
And it remains without condition or temporal limitation.

By the mystery of His abiding, which endures through itself,
By the mystery of endurance that continues of itself,
come to my aid, my God, and lift my suffering and ordeal.
Hasten, my God, to lift my suffering and my ordeal.

I am Your perishing servant, whose abiding is brief;
I am Your mortal servant, whose endurance is brief.
watch over my life, for as long as I remain, with one gracious glance.
Watch over my life, as long as I remain, with a glance.
