Sol 6.1

  1. وأي ضعيف ثابت يا متين إن

    قضيت عليه يا متين بنقمة

    And what weak one can stand firm, O Firm One, if

    You decree retribution against him, O Firm One?

  2. تمسك وهني يا متين مقذفاً

    بجهد البلاء المستمر المشتت

    My frailty has clung, O Firm One, hurled about

    by the severity of ceaseless, scattering affliction,

  3. بحبلك ذا الحبل الشديد وماسك

    بحبل المتين الحق في حرز عصمة

    to Your cord, this strong cord; and whoever holds fast

    to the cord of the Firm One, the True One, is in a refuge of protection.

  4. ورودي وصدري يا متين معوق

    وحظي مقرون بشئوم وخيبة

    And my coming and my going, O Firm One, are impeded,

    and my lot is coupled with ill fortune and disappointment.

  5. وقدري ضئيل يا متين وإن تقم

    متانة قدري يا متين استقلت

    And my standing is slight, O Firm One; and if You establish

    the firmness of my standing, O Firm One, it rises.

  6. ومن أمتن الأشياء قدر تشده

    يمينك تطوي عنه كل شديدة

    And among the firmest things is a station strengthened

    by Your right hand, which folds every hardship away from it.

  7. وإنك إن متنت حالي تمتنت

    وإن كنت في اتمام حالي تمت

    And indeed, if You make my state firm, it grows firm;

    and if You bring my state to completion, it becomes complete.

  8. وإنك إن تعقد حظوظي بعروة ال

    متينية العظمى فامتن بعروتي

    And indeed, if You bind my fortunes to the handhold of the

    supreme firmness, then how firm my handhold will be!

  9. وإنك إن شددت أزري تفصمت

    بغي بي السوء أودى بقصمة

    And indeed, if You strengthen my back, shattered are

    evil designs against me, perishing under a crushing blow.

  10. وإن سماتي يا متين بعثنني

    إليك وقد أحصيت مطلب وفدتي

    And indeed my traits, O Firm One, have sent me

    to You, and You have taken full account of the purpose of my coming.
