لذاتك من اسم بدا أو بخفية

And send blessings and peace, as numerous as the mysteries of every

Bless and greet him, count all that he has

Name belonging to Your Essence, whether manifest or hidden.

Of names that appeared or were hidden for his essence

وصل وسلم عد أسرار جاهها

وصل وسلم عد أسرار جاهها

ومقدارها في الشأن والعظمية

ومقدارها في الشأن والعظمية

And send blessings and peace, as numerous as the mysteries of their standing,

Bless and greet him, count his mighty secrets

And their measure in eminence and grandeur.

And their extent in rank and grandeur

وصل وسلم عد أسرار نورها

وصل وسلم عد أسرار نورها

وأضوإئها يا نور في كل رتبة

وأضوإئها يا نور في كل رتبة

And send blessings and peace, as numerous as the mysteries of their light,

Bless and greet him, count the light of his secrets

And their lights, O Light, in every rank.

And illuminations, O Light, in every degree

وصل وسلم عد ما في بحارها

وصل وسلم عد ما في بحارها

من الجوهر المكنون عن أي فطرة

من الجوهر المكنون عن أي فطرة

And send blessings and peace, as numerous as what their seas contain

Bless and greet him, count what is in his oceans

Of precious essence hidden from every created nature.

Of the hidden gem from any nature

وصل وسلم مثل عد شؤونها

وصل وسلم مثل عد شؤونها

وأكوان تأثيراتها المطلقية

وأكوان تأثيراتها المطلقية

And send blessings and peace, matching the number of their workings

Bless and greet him, like counting his qualities

And the worlds of their unrestricted effects.

And universes of his absolute effects

وصل وسلم مثل سيب فيوضها

وصل وسلم مثل سيب فيوضها

وقوة إدراكاتها الأزلية

وقوة إدراكاتها الأزلية

And send blessings and peace, matching the outpouring of their effusions

Bless and greet him, like following his outpourings

And the power of their eternal apprehensions.

And the power of his eternal perceptions

وصل وسلم مثل بحر مدادها

وصل وسلم مثل بحر مدادها

وتنزيل امداداتها كل قوة

وتنزيل امداداتها كل قوة

And send blessings and peace, matching the sea of their ink

Bless and greet him, like the sea of his ink

And the bestowal of their sustaining gifts upon every faculty.

And sending down his aids to every power

وصل وسلم عدَّ ما دركها

وصل وسلم عدَّ ما دركها

من الأثر المغمور بالقادرية

من الأثر المغمور بالقادرية

And send blessings and peace, as numerous as all that reaches them

Bless and greet him, count what he realized

Of effects immersed in omnipotence.

Of the profound effect veiled in Omnipotence

وصل وسلم عد ما تحت مجدها

وصل وسلم عد ما تحت مجدها

وسلطانها من متقن الموجدية

وسلطانها من متقن الموجدية

And send blessings and peace, as numerous as all beneath their glory

Bless and greet him, count what is under his glory

And their dominion, of perfectly wrought creation.

And authority of the excellent Oneness

وصل وسلم حسب تصريف قهرها

وصل وسلم حسب تصريف قهرها

وتدبيرها الأحكام في كل ذرة

وتدبيرها الأحكام في كل ذرة

And send blessings and peace, in measure with the exercise of their subduing might

Bless and greet him, according to steering his coercion

And their ordering of decrees within every atom.

And management of rulings in every atom

وصل وسلم حسب أشكال ما اقتضت

وصل وسلم حسب أشكال ما اقتضت

من القدم الأعلى على الأبدية

من القدم الأعلى على الأبدية

And send blessings and peace, in measure with the forms of all they decree

Bless and greet him, according to forms as required

From highest pre-eternity through everlastingness.

From the Most High antiquity to eternity

وصل وسلم حسب سرعة لطفها

وصل وسلم حسب سرعة لطفها

وتفريجها يا سيدي كل كربة

وتفريجها يا سيدي كل كربة

And send blessings and peace, in measure with the swiftness of their gentleness

Bless and greet him, according to the speed of his gentleness

And their relieving, O my Master, of every distress.

And relief, O my Master, from every hardship

وصل وسلم حسب كنه جمالها

وصل وسلم حسب كنه جمالها

وحسب مقامات عليها تجلت

وحسب مقامات عليها تجلت

And send blessings and peace, in measure with the essence of their beauty

Bless and greet him, according to the essence of his beauty

And with the stations upon which they have shone forth.

And according to the stations upon which he manifested

وصل وسلم حسب مجد جلالها

وصل وسلم حسب مجد جلالها

وما لتعاليها من القاهرية

وما لتعاليها من القاهرية

And send blessings and peace, in measure with the glory of their majesty

Bless and greet him, according to the glory of his majesty

And the overpowering might belonging to their transcendence.

And what belongs to his Supremacy of dominance

وصل وسلم حسب قدس كمالها

وصل وسلم حسب قدس كمالها

وتكميلها الأسرار حيث تولت

وتكميلها الأسرار حيث تولت

And send blessings and peace, in measure with the holiness of their perfection

Bless and greet him, according to the sanctity of his perfection

And their perfecting of mysteries wherever they take charge.

And completing the secrets wherever he inclined

وصل وسلم حسب رفعة عزها

وصل وسلم حسب رفعة عزها

وأعزازها في حصنها من أعزت

وأعزازها في حصنها من أعزت

And send blessings and peace, in measure with the loftiness of their might

Bless and greet him, according to the loftiness of his might

And their honoring, within their fortress, those they have honored.

And elevations, in his fortress, whom he elevated

وصل وسلم حسب ما تقتضيه في

وصل وسلم حسب ما تقتضيه في

مظاهرها من واجبات الألوهة

مظاهرها من واجبات الألوهة

And send blessings and peace, according to what they require in

Bless and greet him, according to what the appearances require

Their manifestations of the necessities of divinity.

Of the duties of Divinity in his manifestations

وصل وسلم ما تجلى ظهورها

وصل وسلم ما تجلى ظهورها

بمطلع قيومية الأحدية

بمطلع قيومية الأحدية

And send blessings and peace, whenever their manifestation shines forth

Bless and greet him, according to what appeared of his manifestation

At the dawning of the self-subsistence of Oneness.

At the dawning place of the Everlasting Oneness

وصل وسلم ما أفاضت غيوثها

وصل وسلم ما أفاضت غيوثها

على أنفس حتى زكت وتزكت

على أنفس حتى زكت وتزكت

And send blessings and peace, whenever their rains pour forth

Bless and greet him, according to what his relief poured

Upon souls, until they grow pure and purify themselves.

Upon souls until they became sincere and purifying

وصل وسلم ما استهل سحابها

وصل وسلم ما استهل سحابها

بفتح وغفران ولطف ورحمة

بفتح وغفران ولطف ورحمة

And send blessings and peace, whenever their clouds begin to rain

Bless and greet him, according to what his clouds began

With opening, forgiveness, gentleness, and mercy.

With opening, forgiveness, kindness, and mercy

وصل وسلم ما توصل واصل

وصل وسلم ما توصل واصل

إليك بها إذ هن أمتن وصلة

إليك بها إذ هن أمتن وصلة

And send blessings and peace, whenever a seeker finds a way

Bless and greet him, according to what the connector connected

To You through them, for they are the firmest bond.

To you through it, as they are the best connection

وصل وسلم ما تحقق مخلص

وصل وسلم ما تحقق مخلص

بها فانتشا من بحر عين الحقيقة

بها فانتشا من بحر عين الحقيقة

And send blessings and peace, whenever a sincere devotee attains realization

Bless and greet him, according to what the sincere attained

Through them, becoming intoxicated by the sea of Reality's essence.

Therefore emerged from the sea of the reality of truth

على المصطفى الهادي إليك محمد

على المصطفى الهادي إليك محمد

رسولك ختم الرسل خير البرية

رسولك ختم الرسل خير البرية

Upon the Chosen One, Muhammad, who guides to You,

Upon the Master Guide to you, Muhammad

Your Messenger, the seal of messengers, the best of creation.

Your Messenger, Seal of Messengers, best of creation

هو الجامع الأسماء جمع تحقق

هو الجامع الأسماء جمع تحقق

ومشكاة مصباح الصفات الجليلة

ومشكاة مصباح الصفات الجليلة

He unites the Names in a union of true realization,

He gathered the names, fully realized

And is the niche for the lamp of the majestic Attributes.

And a lantern, the lamp of the sublime attributes

هو الجامع الأسرار في جيب سره

هو الجامع الأسرار في جيب سره

هو المشرق الأسرار في أي وجهة

هو المشرق الأسرار في أي وجهة

He gathers the mysteries within the bosom of his secret,

He gathered the secrets in the pocket of his secret

He makes the mysteries shine in every direction.

He is the place of rising of secrets in any direction

هو الكاشف الأستار عن نير الهدى

هو الكاشف الأستار عن نير الهدى

هو الباعث المبعوث بالحنفية

هو الباعث المبعوث بالحنفية

He lifts the veils from the light of guidance,

He is the discloser of the veils upon the light of guidance

He is the awakener, sent with the upright monotheistic faith.

He is the sender of the commissioned with the upright religion

هو الأول المكنون في أبحر الخفا

هو الأول المكنون في أبحر الخفا

هو الآخر المقصود في كل رتبة

هو الآخر المقصود في كل رتبة

He is the First, concealed in the seas of hiddenness,

He is the first hidden in the oceans of mystery

He is the Last, sought in every rank.

He is the last intended in every degree

هو الظاهر المعلوم قبل ظهوره

هو الظاهر المعلوم قبل ظهوره

هو الباطن الخافي بكل حقيقة

هو الباطن الخافي بكل حقيقة

He is the Manifest, known before his manifestation,

He is the outward known before his appearance

He is the Inward, hidden within every reality.

He is the inward concealed in every reality

هو السابق المخصوص مجداً بسبق كن

هو السابق المخصوص مجداً بسبق كن

هو اللاحق المرضي للأقربية

هو اللاحق المرضي للأقربية

He is the forerunner, distinguished in glory by preceding 'Be!'

He is the preceding particularly honored with precedence

He is the one who follows, approved for closest nearness.

He is the subsequent satisfactory to kinship

هو القاهر الغلاب سيفاً وحجةً

هو القاهر الغلاب سيفاً وحجةً

هو المجتبى المختار للأكرمية

هو المجتبى المختار للأكرمية

He is the conqueror, triumphant by sword and argument,

He is the conqueror and proof victorious by sword and argument

He is the elect, chosen for supreme honor.

He is the elect chosen for utmost nobility

هو الباهر البرهان نوراً وكلمة

هو الباهر البرهان نوراً وكلمة

هو البين الآيات روح الشريعة

هو البين الآيات روح الشريعة

He is dazzling in proof, in light and word,

He is the demonstrator of proof by light and word

He is clear in signs, the spirit of the Sacred Law.

He is the clear verses the spirit of the Law

هو القائم الساطي بعزم مؤيد

هو القائم الساطي بعزم مؤيد

هو الفاتح المنصور في كل وجهة

هو الفاتح المنصور في كل وجهة

He is the one who stands and strikes with strengthened resolve,

He is standing by determined support

He is the conqueror, granted victory in every direction.

He is the opener and victor in every direction

هو الناصر الأمر الالهي حازماً

هو الناصر الأمر الالهي حازماً

منيعاً علياً في مقام المعية

منيعاً علياً في مقام المعية

He champions the divine command, resolute,

He is the helper the divine command determined

Unassailable and exalted in the station of companionship.

Inaccessible, lofty in the station of companionship

توليته واخترته وملأته

توليته واخترته وملأته

بنورك واستخلصته للمحبة

بنورك واستخلصته للمحبة

You took him into Your care, chose him, and filled him

You put him in charge, chose him, and filled him

With Your light, and singled him out for love.

With Your Light and extracted him for love

وبوأته من كل خير أتمه

وبوأته من كل خير أتمه

وأزكاه والأكوان في العدمية

وأزكاه والأكوان في العدمية

You lodged him in the most perfect of every good,

And endowed him with the most perfect of all good

And its purest, while the worlds were in nonexistence.

And purified him while creations were in nonexistence

فكل مزايا الرسل والأنبياء في

فكل مزايا الرسل والأنبياء في

بحار مزايا شأنه حكم نقطة

بحار مزايا شأنه حكم نقطة

All the excellences of messengers and prophets are, in

And preferred him over all Your creation

The seas of his station's excellences, no more than a drop.

In that he was with God the best means

وما طمع الأملاك والرسل مطلقاً

وما طمع الأملاك والرسل مطلقاً

بأن يبلغوا مقداره مع نسبة

بأن يبلغوا مقداره مع نسبة

Neither angels nor messengers ever hoped

And preferred him over all Your messengers

To reach his measure in any comparable degree.

In that he was sent to the best nation

ولا جنح الأبرار أن يتزلفوا

ولا جنح الأبرار أن يتزلفوا

إليك سوى من بابه عند قربة

إليك سوى من بابه عند قربة

Nor did the righteous aspire to draw near

And distinguished him with attributes before sending him

To You except through his gate when seeking nearness.

In the first scriptures with every prophethood

قسمت حظوظ القرب بين جميعهم

قسمت حظوظ القرب بين جميعهم

ولكنها من حظه في الحقيقة

ولكنها من حظه في الحقيقة

You apportioned the shares of nearness among them all,

And preferred him over every intimate and pride

Yet in truth they come from his share.

With that which every finale fell short in comprehending

وآثرته من بين خلقك كلهم

وآثرته من بين خلقك كلهم

بأن كان أصل الكائنات البديعة

بأن كان أصل الكائنات البديعة

You favored him above all Your creatures

So bless and greet him with what he deserves

By making him the origin of wondrous beings.

Upon him and bless and be pleased at every moment

وآثرته من بين خلقك كلهم

وآثرته من بين خلقك كلهم

بأن كان عند اللّه خير وسيلة

بأن كان عند اللّه خير وسيلة

You favored him above all Your creatures

With a prayer and peace that equals his stature

By making him the best means of approach to God.

And corresponds to Your innate knowledge

وآثرته من بين رسلك كلهم

وآثرته من بين رسلك كلهم

بأن جاء مبعوثاً إلى خير أمة

بأن جاء مبعوثاً إلى خير أمة

You favored him above all Your messengers

And honor him with the intimacy none share

By sending him to the finest community.

Neither near nor above it any virtue

وآثرته بالنعت من قبل بعثه

وآثرته بالنعت من قبل بعثه

على الصحف الأولى بكل نبوة

على الصحف الأولى بكل نبوة

You favored him with descriptions before his mission,

And give him the great merit interceding

In the earliest scriptures, through every prophecy.

With multiples of what divine knowledge enumerated

وآثرته من كل زلفى ومفخر

وآثرته من كل زلفى ومفخر

بما قصرت عن فهمه كل نهية

بما قصرت عن فهمه كل نهية

You favored him, in every nearness and distinction,

And give him the most sublime stations and pleasure

With what every intellect falls short of grasping.

A lodging of truth none loftier than it

فصل وسلم بالذي أنت أهله

فصل وسلم بالذي أنت أهله

عليه وبارك وارض في كل لحظة

عليه وبارك وارض في كل لحظة

So send blessings and peace, as befits You,

And deliver to him what he hopes for himself

Upon him; bless him and be pleased with him at every moment.

Multiplied honor from every goodness

صلاة وتسليماً يوازي مقامه

صلاة وتسليماً يوازي مقامه

ويعدل معلوماتك الفطرية

ويعدل معلوماتك الفطرية

Blessings and peace commensurate with his station,

And deliver to him what he hopes for others

And equaling all that is intrinsically known to You.

Abundantly satisfying his eyes delighted and settled

وأكرمه بالزلفى التي ليس دونها

وأكرمه بالزلفى التي ليس دونها

قريب ولا من فوقها من فضيلة

قريب ولا من فوقها من فضيلة

Honor him with that nearness beneath which there is

And intercession, O Most Generous, intercede for us

No one near, and above which there is no excellence.

An intercession we attain forgiveness of every slip

وضاعف له الفضل العظيم مشفعاً

وضاعف له الفضل العظيم مشفعاً

باضعاف ما أحصاه علم الألوهة

باضعاف ما أحصاه علم الألوهة

Multiply for him the mighty bounty, redoubled

And intercede for us and be pleased with us through his stature

By multiples of all that divine knowledge has counted.

A pleasure that meets me with success and mercy

وبوئه من أسنى المقامات والرضا

وبوئه من أسنى المقامات والرضا

مبوء صدق دونه كل رفعة

مبوء صدق دونه كل رفعة

Lodge him, amid the loftiest stations and contentment,

Bless and greet the rememberer drawing near to You

In a dwelling of truth beneath which lies every exalted rank.

Upon him and distinguish him with the finest distinctions

وبلغه مما يرتجيه لنفسه

وبلغه مما يرتجيه لنفسه

مضاعفة الاكرام من كل خيرة

مضاعفة الاكرام من كل خيرة

Grant him, of what he hopes for himself,

With prayers and peace upon him and his family

Redoubled honor from every choice blessing.

And companions alongside the sincere followers

وبلغه مما يرتجيه لغيره

وبلغه مما يرتجيه لغيره

جزيلاً به عيناه لذت وقرت

جزيلاً به عيناه لذت وقرت

And grant him, of what he hopes for others,

And bless the noble messengers and inspire them

Abundance in which his eyes find joy and rest.

And all others You honored with prophethood

وشفعة يا ذا الجود فينا شفاعة

وشفعة يا ذا الجود فينا شفاعة

ننال بها الغفران عن كل زلة

ننال بها الغفران عن كل زلة

Accept his intercession for us, O Lord of bounty—an intercession

And bless the angels in their heavenly realm

Through which we gain forgiveness for every lapse.

And Gabriel particularly with the purest greeting

وشفعه فينا وارض عنا بجاهة

وشفعه فينا وارض عنا بجاهة

رضا يتلقاني بفوز ورحمة

رضا يتلقاني بفوز ورحمة

Accept his intercession for us, and through his standing be pleased with us:

And the people of the path of righteousness in guidance

A pleasure that meets me with triumph and mercy.

And bless us among them O Giver

وصل وسلم ما دنا منك ذاكر

وصل وسلم ما دنا منك ذاكر

عليه وخصصه بأسنى مزية

عليه وخصصه بأسنى مزية

Send blessings and peace, whenever one remembering You draws near You,

My God, for the sake of the Most Noble Master who

Upon him, and single him out for the loftiest distinction.

Is the Greatest Mercy for all creation

صلاة وتسليماً عليه وآله

صلاة وتسليماً عليه وآله

وأصحابه مع مخلصي التبعية

وأصحابه مع مخلصي التبعية

Blessings and peace upon him and his family,

Muhammad the righteous and merciful who came

And his companions, with those sincere in following him.

Concerned for us with righteousness and kindness

وصل على الرسل الكرام والهم

وصل على الرسل الكرام والهم

وسائر من أكرمتهم بالنبوة

وسائر من أكرمتهم بالنبوة

Send blessings upon the noble messengers and their families,

I sought refuge longing with the authority of his nearness

And all those You have honored with prophethood.

To You and my sufficiency is that he be my means

وصل على الأملاك في ملكوتهم

وصل على الأملاك في ملكوتهم

وجبريل مخصوصاً بأزكى تحية

وجبريل مخصوصاً بأزكى تحية

Send blessings upon the angels in their heavenly realm,

And whoever seeks intercession through Prophet Muhammad

And Gabriel especially, with the purest greeting.

Will attain the purpose from the essence of every desire

وأهل سبيل الاستقامة في الهدى

وأهل سبيل الاستقامة في الهدى

وصل علينا عندهم ذا العطية

وصل علينا عندهم ذا العطية

And those who tread the way of uprightness in guidance;

My God, I knocked upon the door from where appropriate

And bless us among them, O Giver.

And called with the names in the voice of my supplication

الهي بجاه السيد الأكرم الذي

الهي بجاه السيد الأكرم الذي

هو الرحمة العظمى لكل الخليقة

هو الرحمة العظمى لكل الخليقة

My God, by the standing of the most noble master, who

And I turned my face toward Yours pleading

Is the greatest mercy for all creation,

And remembering You, my beloved as my pretext

محمد البر الرحيم الذي أتى

محمد البر الرحيم الذي أتى

حريصاً علينا بين بر ورأفة

حريصاً علينا بين بر ورأفة

Muhammad, the kind, the merciful, who came

My God, cast me a glance for my needs

Deeply concerned for us, with kindness and compassion,

And my sufficiency is one glance from You was truth

توسلت ملتاذاً بسلطان قربه

توسلت ملتاذاً بسلطان قربه

إليك وحسبي أن يكون وسيلتي

إليك وحسبي أن يكون وسيلتي

I seek approach, taking refuge in the power of his nearness,

And take my hand in every matter of wisdom

To You; it suffices me that he be my means of approach.

And make good my ending with acceptance make my reward

ومن يتوسل بالرسول محمد

ومن يتوسل بالرسول محمد

يلاق المنى من عين كل رغيبة

يلاق المنى من عين كل رغيبة

Whoever seeks approach through the Messenger Muhammad

Attains his wishes from the very essence of every desired good.

الهي قرعت الباب من حيث ينبغي

الهي قرعت الباب من حيث ينبغي

وناديت بالأسماء في صوت دعوتي

وناديت بالأسماء في صوت دعوتي

My God, I have knocked at the door as one should,

And called upon the Names in the sound of my supplication.

ووجهت وجهي نحو وجهك ضارعاً

ووجهت وجهي نحو وجهك ضارعاً

واسمك ذكري والحبيب ذريعتي

واسمك ذكري والحبيب ذريعتي

I have turned my face toward Your face, imploring;

Your Name is my remembrance, and the Beloved my means of approach.

الهي هب لي نظرة في مطالبي

الهي هب لي نظرة في مطالبي

فحسبي غنى أن نظرة منك حقت

فحسبي غنى أن نظرة منك حقت

My God, grant me a glance of regard upon my requests;

It is wealth enough for me that a glance from You is assured.

وخذ بيدي في كل أمر سياسة

وخذ بيدي في كل أمر سياسة

وحسن ختامي بالرضا اجعل مبرتي

وحسن ختامي بالرضا اجعل مبرتي

Take my hand in guiding every affair,

And make a good ending in Your favor the kindness You bestow on me.
