ويا محصيَ الأشياء علماً وحيطة

ويا محصيَ الأشياء علماً وحيطة

وقهراً وتقديراً وتدبير حكمة

وقهراً وتقديراً وتدبير حكمة

And O You who count all things in knowledge and encompassing awareness,

O you who comprehensively counts all things, knowledgeably and wisely,

and in dominion, ordainment, and wise governance:

Masterfully ordaining, determining, and governing with wisdom,

احطت وأحصيت الوجود وما به

احطت وأحصيت الوجود وما به

فما أفلت الاحصاء مثقال ذرة

فما أفلت الاحصاء مثقال ذرة

You have encompassed and counted existence and all within it;

You have encompassed and counted all existence and what is in it,

so not an atom's weight has escaped Your count.

So that not an atom's weight escapes your counting,

بصير بما أظهرت من كل ظاهر

بصير بما أظهرت من كل ظاهر

خبير بما أبطنته من خفية

خبير بما أبطنته من خفية

You see every visible thing You have made manifest;

Seeing what you have manifested of all that is manifest,

You know every hidden thing You have concealed.

Knowing what you have hidden of all that is secret,

وأحصيت حفظاً طاعتي وتبتلي

وأحصيت حفظاً طاعتي وتبتلي

وأحصيت حالاتي وطوري وفطرتي

وأحصيت حالاتي وطوري وفطرتي

And You have counted and preserved my obedience and devotion;

And you have counted, protecting my obedience and testing me,

And You have counted my states, my condition, and my innate nature.

And you have counted my states, stages, and innate nature,

وأحصيت ما يأتي وما يذر العدى

وأحصيت ما يأتي وما يذر العدى

وما أضمروا من سيئات الطوية

وما أضمروا من سيئات الطوية

And You have counted what enemies do and what they leave undone,

And you have counted what will come and what the appointed term will leave,

and the evils they have harbored in their secret intent.

And what they have secretly harbored of evil intentions,

وأحصيت ذرات المقاصد مطلقاً

وأحصيت ذرات المقاصد مطلقاً

وأحصيت أعمالي وقولي ونيتي

وأحصيت أعمالي وقولي ونيتي

And You have counted every atom of intent, without exception;

And you have counted the atoms of purposes absolutely,

And You have counted my deeds, my speech, and my intention.

And you have counted my deeds, words, and intentions,

وأحصيت أرزاق النفوس مقدراً

وأحصيت أرزاق النفوس مقدراً

لكل بوفق الحكمة المصلحية

لكل بوفق الحكمة المصلحية

And You have counted the sustenance of souls, apportioning it

And you have counted the provisions for souls, determining,

to each according to wisdom that serves their welfare.

For each according to wisdom and what is beneficial,

وأحصيت أرزاق القلوب تنزلاً

وأحصيت أرزاق القلوب تنزلاً

لها حسب الاستعداد والقابلية

لها حسب الاستعداد والقابلية

And You have counted the sustenance of hearts as it descends

And you have counted the provisions for hearts, sending down

to them according to their readiness and receptivity.

To them according to preparedness and receptivity,

وأحصيت أسرار الهدايات مورداً

وأحصيت أسرار الهدايات مورداً

لهائمة الأرواح بحر الحقيقة

لهائمة الأرواح بحر الحقيقة

And You have counted the mysteries of guidance, leading

And you have counted the mysteries of guidance, providing

wandering souls to the sea of Truth.

To the beasts of spirits the sea of reality,

أقمني يا محصي رقيباً ومحصياً

أقمني يا محصي رقيباً ومحصياً

لفعلي وتركي عند جهري وخلوتي

لفعلي وتركي عند جهري وخلوتي

Make me, O Enumerator, a watcher and a reckoner

Establish me, O Counter, as a watcher and counter

of my deeds and omissions, in public and in solitude.

Of my deeds and refrainings, in public and solitude,

وسخر لي الامكان قلباً وقالباً

وسخر لي الامكان قلباً وقالباً

ومكن مقامي من نفوذ مشيئتي

ومكن مقامي من نفوذ مشيئتي

And subject the realm of possibility to me, in heart and form;

And subjugate to me the means of heart and body,

and empower my station so that my will may take effect.

And establish my position with the influence of my will.
