O One, everlasting in the oneness of Your Essence,

And O One, abiding in the oneness of His essence,

as You were before all before and all pre-eternity.

وجودك قبل الجوهر الفرد ثابت

وما يقبل التركيب ليس بوحدة

Your Being was established before the indivisible atom;

Your existence is established before the indivisible atom,

whatever admits of composition is not truly one.

فهبني شهود الواحدية فانياً

فهبني شهود الواحدية فانياً

عن الجمع في الفردية السرمدية

عن الجمع في الفردية السرمدية

So grant me the vision of Oneness, annihilated

So grant me the witnessing of oneness, effaced

beyond all plurality in eternal Singularity.

Make my being single, free of a being that bars me

And make my existence one, apart from any existence that bars me

from the Everlasting One, the very Being of Reality.

وثبت على التوحيد قدسي وحدتي

فما زاغ عن آياتها من تثبت

And make my inward purity and my unity firm upon tawḥīd,

And establish the sanctity of my oneness in the affirmation of unity;

for whoever stands steadfast never strays from its signs.

From creation You raised a witness to wisdom

You established from creation a witness of wisdom

against nonbeing; then every bond of association dissolved.
