ويا قائماً بالقسط خصمك باهر

لأهلك منقض لهدم الشريعة

لأهلك منقض لهدم الشريعة

And O Upholder of justice, Your foe overpowers

O you who stand against your opponent with justice

Your people, swooping down to demolish the sacred law.

To destroy for his people the laws of religion

ولا يشتكي إلا إليك ولا حمى

ولا يشتكي إلا إليك ولا حمى

ولا ناصر إلا جلال الربوبة

ولا ناصر إلا جلال الربوبة

And to You alone one complains; there is no refuge,

And no one complains except to you, no protector

Nor any helper save the majesty of lordship.

Except the majesty of divinity

لقد جد هذا الخصم في حرب ربه

لقد جد هذا الخصم في حرب ربه

وأعيت قواه طاقة البشرية

وأعيت قواه طاقة البشرية

Indeed, this foe has striven hard in war against his Lord,

This opponent has struggled in the war of his Lord

And his might has overtaxed human endurance.

And his powers are exhausted by human capacity

تعادى إلى الاسلام نقضاً لحبله

تعادى إلى الاسلام نقضاً لحبله

وسام عيال اللّه أسوأ خطة

وسام عيال اللّه أسوأ خطة

He rushed against Islam to unravel its cord,

He turned against Islam, breaking its rope

And subjected God's dependents to the worst treatment.

And marked the family of God with the worst plot

وجاس بلاد اللّه بالخسف آمناً

وجاس بلاد اللّه بالخسف آمناً

كأن ليس بالمرصاد رب البرية

كأن ليس بالمرصاد رب البرية

And roamed God's lands, inflicting oppression, unafraid,

And he violated the land of God with ruin, feeling secure

As though the Lord of creation were not lying in wait.

As if the Lord of the wilderness is not watching over

بلى إن للأكوان رباً مهيمناً

بلى إن للأكوان رباً مهيمناً

غيوراً شهيداً قائم المقسطية

غيوراً شهيداً قائم المقسطية

Yes indeed, the worlds have an all-watchful Lord,

Yes indeed, the cosmos has a sovereign Lord

Jealous, all-witnessing, upholding justice.

Jealous, witnessing, establishing justice

بلى إن للأكوان رباً يسوسها

بلى إن للأكوان رباً يسوسها

بتدبيره تجري أمور الخليقة

بتدبيره تجري أمور الخليقة

Yes indeed, the worlds have a Lord who governs them;

Yes indeed, the cosmos has a Lord who governs it

By His ordering, the affairs of creation run their course.

By His management run the affairs of creation

بلى إن بالمرصاد سلطان قائم

بلى إن بالمرصاد سلطان قائم

بقسط وحكماً لا يرد بقوة

بقسط وحكماً لا يرد بقوة

Yes indeed, a Sovereign stands in wait,

Yes indeed, watching over is an authority established

Upholding justice, with a judgment no force can repel,

With justice and judgment that cannot be repelled by force

وعلى ملكه عدلاً وفضلاً بلا يد

وعلى ملكه عدلاً وفضلاً بلا يد

تدافع ما يقضي به من قضية

تدافع ما يقضي به من قضية

And ruling over His kingdom in justice and bounty, with no hand

And His kingdom has justice and grace without equal

To resist any judgment He decrees.

That defends what He decides in every case

الهي لم يعجز نكيرك عنهم

الهي لم يعجز نكيرك عنهم

وإن أمهلتهم حكمة الأجلية

وإن أمهلتهم حكمة الأجلية

My God, Your retribution has not proved powerless against them,

My God, his denial did not make you powerless over them

Though the wisdom of appointed terms has granted them respite.

And if you postponed them, it is the wisdom of eternity

أغث عزة التوحيد وحيا بقصمهم

أغث عزة التوحيد وحيا بقصمهم

كسنتك اللهم في شرامة

كسنتك اللهم في شرامة

Come swiftly to the aid of monotheism's honor by crushing them,

Help the honour of monotheism and give life by breaking them

As is Your wont, O God, with the worst of nations.

As is your tradition, O God, in annihilation
