بسم الاله الهي الحق باللّه

للّه في اللّه اخلاصي إلى اللّه

In the name of God—my true God—by God.

For God, in God, my sincere devotion is to God.

الهي الحق لم أشهد سواك ولا

إله بالحق غير الواحد اللّه

My true God, I have witnessed none but You, and no

god truly exists but the One, God.

الهي الحق قد أسلمت وجهي لا

إله غيرك اذعاناً إلى اللّه

My true God, I have surrendered my face—there is no

god but You—in submission to God.

الهي الحق قد وجهت وجهي لا

إله غيرك اخباتاً إلى اللّه

My true God, I have turned my face—there is no

god but You—in humble devotion to God.

الهي الحق ايماناً خضعت به

إن الألوهة والسلطان اللّه

My true God, I have bowed in this faith:

divinity and sovereignty belong to God.

الهي الحق وحدانية سطعت

أنوار شاهدها في فطرة اللّه

My true God, oneness—there shone forth

its attesting lights in the innate nature God has given.

الهي الحق برهان الألوهة مع

لوم الثبوت لذات الواجب اللّه

My true God, the proof of divinity is known

to be established for the essence of the Necessary Being, God.

الهي الحق ذرات الوجود وتص

ريف الأمور أبانت حجة اللّه

My true God, the atoms of existence and the ordering

of affairs have revealed God's proof.

الهي الحق عين الكون مبصرة

حقيقة الأمر إن الأمر للّه

My true God, the eye of the cosmos beholds

the truth of the matter: command belongs to God.

الهي الحق هذا الكون منتظم

قاض بأن يد الابداع للّه

My true God, this cosmos is ordered,

declaring that the hand of creation belongs to God.

الهي الحق ربانية وجبت

قام الوجود بربانية اللّه

My true God, lordship is necessary;

existence is sustained by God's lordship.

الهي الحق ربانية قهرت

القهر للّه والتدبير للّه

My true God, lordship has subdued all;

subjugation is God's, and governance is God's.

الهي الحق امجاد الألوهة وال

فردية المحض حق المالك اللّه

My true God, the glories of divinity and

unalloyed singularity are the right of the Sovereign, God.

الهي الحق عز الملك حقك لا

شريك لا ضد لا أنداد للّه

My true God, sovereign might is Your due: there is no

partner, no opposite, no peer to God.

الهي الحق ذا الوصف القديم واي

جابي وسلبي انعام من اللّه

My true God, Possessor of the eternal attribute—my affirmation

and my negation are gifts from God.

الهي الحق نفيي ما نفيت واث

باتي لما أثبتته كلمة اللّه

My true God, I deny what You denied, and affirm

what God's word has affirmed.

الهي الحق انفي كل ما عبدوا

شركاً وأثبت حق اللّه للّه

My true God, I deny all that they worshipped

in idolatry, and affirm God's right for God alone.

الهي الحق معبودي اعترفت له

بواجبات اعتراف العبد للّه

My true God, the One I worship, I have acknowledged Him

with the acknowledgment a servant owes to God.

الهي الحق توحيداً ولهت به

لوجهه كمراد اللّه للّه

My true God, I am enraptured by the profession of oneness,

for His countenance, as God wills, for God.

الهي الحق تطوير العباد وتد

بير الأمور اقتضته حكمة اللّه

My true God, the shaping of servants and the governance

of affairs are required by God's wisdom.

الهي الحق تنوير العقول وال

هام النفوس دلالات على اللّه

My true God, the enlightening of minds and the inspiration

of souls are signs pointing to God.

الهي الحق ضلت بعدما علمت

لسابق العلم الباب عن اللّه

My true God, minds strayed after they had known,

in accordance with foreknowledge, away from God.

الهي الحق لم يعرفك مفتتن

بالاختيار عن التفويض للّه

My true God, he has not known You who is beguiled

by personal choice instead of entrusting all to God.

الهي الحق من يعرفك لم يرَ مو

موجوداً ولا اسماً لموجود سوى اللّه

My true God, whoever knows You has seen no

being, nor any name for a being, except God.

الهي الحق ما في الكون ذو أثر

لذاته إنما التأثير للّه

My true God, nothing in the cosmos exerts an effect

of itself; all efficacy belongs to God.

الهي الحق أبطنت الحقيقة في ال

تجليات على مصنوعة اللّه

My true God, You concealed the truth within the

manifestations upon God's handiwork.

الهي الحق غيب باطن وتج

ل ظاهر صفتا ذاتية اللّه

My true God, inward hiddenness and self-disclosure

outwardly manifest are two attributes of God's essence.

الهي الحق ما غيب بمنكشف

ولا ظهور بغير الاسم للّه

My true God, the Unseen is not unveiled,

nor is there manifestation of God without the Name.

الهي الحق عجز الحادثات عن ال

ادراك درك ودرك اللّه للّه

My true God, created things' inability to

comprehend is comprehension; God alone comprehends God.

الهي الحق ما ظنوا وما وهموا

من النقائص منفي عن اللّه

My true God, whatever they supposed or imagined

of imperfections is denied of God.

الهي الحق ما أوجدتني عبثاً

قضت بايجاد نفسي حكمة اللّه

My true God, You did not bring me into being in vain;

God's wisdom decreed the creation of my soul.

الهي الحق إذ سويتني بشراً

نصبت لي علماً يهدي إلى اللّه

My true God, when You fashioned me a human being,

You set up for me a sign that guides to God.

الهي الحق إن ضل البصير فباخ

تياره وعليه حجة اللّه

My true God, if the clear-sighted strays, it is by

his own choice; God's proof stands against him.

الهي الحق لم تجبر على عمل

ولا غلبت على مكروهة اللّه

My true God, You have compelled no one to act,

nor been overcome in what God abhors.

الهي الحق كسب أنت خالقه

ولا اعتراض لمخلوق على اللّه

My true God, an acquired act—You are its Creator;

no creature may object against God.

الهي الحق لم تأخذ بلا حجج

أخذ بعدل على علم من اللّه

My true God, You have not punished without proofs;

punishment is just, based on knowledge from God.

الهي الحق ما في الملك مظلمة

فعل وترك على قسط من اللّه

My true God, there is no injustice in the dominion;

action and abstention accord with justice from God.

الهي الحق أنت اللّه أنت ولا

اله غيرك قد أخلصت للّه

My true God, You are God, You—and there is no

god but You; I have made my devotion sincere for God.

الهي الحق أنت اللّه أنت فاخ

لصني بخالصة في طاعة اللّه

My true God, You are God, You—so purify

me with pure devotion in obedience to God.

الهي الحق أنت اللّه أنت فخ

لص من كثائفها نفسي إلى اللّه

My true God, You are God, You—so free

my soul from its dense coverings, unto God.

الهي الحق أشغلني بحبك عن

علائقي إنها حجب عن اللّه

My true God, engross me in love for You, away from

my attachments; they are veils that bar me from God.

الهي الحق أنت اللّه أنت فق

دسني بذكرك عن ذكري سوى اللّه

My true God, You are God, You—so sanctify

me through remembering You, beyond remembering any but God.

الهي الحق أنت اللّه أنت فبا

ركني سعيداً وأوصلني إلى اللّه

My true God, You are God, You—so bless

me with happiness, and bring me to God.

الهي الحق أنت اللّه أنت فق

ربني نجياً وهب لي نظرة اللّه

My true God, You are God, You—so draw

me close in secret converse, and grant me a glance from God.

الهي الحق أنت اللّه أنت فهب

لي من لدنك فتوح العلم باللّه

My true God, You are God, You—so grant

me, from Your presence, openings of the knowledge of God.

الهي الحق أنت اللّه أنت فن

ورني بأنوار نورانية اللّه

My true God, You are God, You—so illumine

me with the lights of God's radiance.

الهي الحق أنت اللّه أنت عظي

م المجد مجد مقامي باسمك اللّه

My true God, You are God, You, great

in glory; glorify my station through Your name, God.

الهي الحق أنت اللّه أنت تدا

ركني بلطف وامداد من اللّه

My true God, You are God, You—come to

my aid with kindness and support from God.

الهي الحق أنت اللّه أنت وقد

جد البلاء فأرسل نفحة اللّه

My true God, You are God, You; and now

affliction has grown severe, so send a breath from God.

الهي الحق شد الكرب واتسعت

ضرورتي لقني روحاً من اللّه

My true God, distress has tightened, and grown vast

has my desperate need; grant me relief from God.

الهي الحق لا أخشى البلية في

دين ودنيا وحصني عصمة اللّه

My true God, I fear no calamity in

religion or worldly life; God's protection is my fortress.

الهي الحق من تعصمه قارنه

جد ونور واعزاز من اللّه

My true God, whomever You protect is accompanied

by good fortune, light, and honor from God.

الهي الحق حبل اللّه معتصمي

وطود توحيد قلبي وحدة اللّه

My true God, God's rope is my refuge,

and the mountain of my heart's profession of oneness is God's unity.

الهي الحق توحيدي لذاتك لا

أبغى به عرضاً يلهى عن اللّه

My true God, in affirming Your essence as One, I do not

seek through it a worldly gain that distracts from God.

الهي الحق تنزيهي صفاتك وال

أسماء أبغي به الزلفى من اللّه

My true God, in declaring Your attributes and

Names free of imperfection, I seek nearness to God.

الهي الحق من حق الألوهة تن

زيه على غير حرف ليس للّه

My true God, among divinity's due rights is transcendence—

not through the particle 'is not' applied to God.

الهي الحق عرض العبد فاقته

عليك من واجبات العبد للّه

My true God, the servant's laying his poverty

before You is among the servant's duties to God.

الهي الحق قدرت الخصاصة بي

أرجو لها يا إلهي منة اللّه

My true God, You decreed want for me;

to meet it, O my God, I hope for God's favor.

الهي الحق ما جدى ومكسبتي

إلا إذا أكسبتني نعمة اللّه

My true God, no benefit or gain is mine

unless God's blessing grants me gain.

الهي الحق أوقرت الذنوب وقد

أوفى اللقاء وحشوي خشية اللّه

My true God, sins have weighed me down, and now

the meeting draws near; my breast is filled with fear of God.

الهي الحق صلني بالنجاة وغف

ران الذنوب فذا توبي إلى اللّه

My true God, grant me salvation and

forgiveness of sins; here is my repentance to God.

الهي الحق بالتوحيد خذ بيدي

إلى مقر الرضا من رحمة اللّه

My true God, through affirming oneness, take my hand

to the abode of good pleasure, through God's mercy.

الهي الحق ما لي قربة ويد

إلا بتوحيد وحدانية اللّه

My true God, I have no means of nearness or merit

except through affirming the oneness of God.

الهي الحق هب أزكى الصلاة رسو

ل اللّه أحمد هادينا إلى اللّه
