الحمد للّه حق الحمد للّه

بما يقوم بحق الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, the praise truly due to God,

with what fulfills the rightful duty of praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً طيباً جللاً

مباركاً فيه وفق الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a pure, magnificent praise,

blessed therein, in keeping with praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً لا نظير له

ولا كفاء لعظم الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise that has no equal,

nor any match for the greatness of praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً لا يقام به

من ذا يقوم بحق الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise none can fully render;

who can fulfill the rightful duty of praise to God?

الحمد للّه حمداً لا يماثله

حمد ولا حمد مثل الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise matched by no

praise; no praise is like praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً لا يعادله

حمد وأين عديل الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise equaled by no

praise; where is the equal of praise to God?

الحمد للّه حمداً ظاهراً أبداً

كما يكون لحق الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise forever manifest,

as befits the rightful praise of God.

الحمد للّه حمداً كفؤ نعمته

كما يحق لفرض الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise equal to His blessing,

as is due for the obligation of praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً فوق واجبه

وضعف أضعاف عين الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise beyond its due,

and twice the multiples of the very essence of praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً فوق مقدرتي

وليس يقدر قدر الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise beyond my ability;

nor can the worth of praise to God be measured.

الحمد للّه حمداً لائقاً بكما

ل اللّه حسب كمال الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise befitting the perfection

of God, in keeping with the perfection of praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً لائقاً بجلا

ل اللّه فوق رضاه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise befitting the majesty

of God, beyond His pleasure—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً لائقاً بجما

ل اللّه منه إليه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise befitting the beauty

of God; from Him to Him is praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً لائقاً بصفا

ت اللّه وهو مقام الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise befitting the attributes

of God; that is the station of praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً لائقاً بأسا

مي اللّه أنى تجلى الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise befitting the names

of God, wherever He manifests Himself—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه حمد الذات منه له

حمداً يعادل كنه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, the Essence's praise, from Him for Him,

a praise matching the inmost reality of praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً لا نفاذ له

يفنى الوجود ويبقى الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise without exhaustion;

existence perishes, but praise to God remains.

الحمد للّه حمداً ليس يحصره

حد ولا حد يحوي الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise confined by no

limit; no limit encompasses praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً لا يحيط به

عد تنزه عنه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise encompassed by no

count; praise to God transcends it.

الحمد للّه حمداً لا يقام به

كيف القيام بحق الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise none can fully render;

how can the rightful duty of praise to God be fulfilled?

الحمد للّه حمداً يرتضيه له

حمداً يحقق حق الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a praise He approves for Himself,

a praise fulfilling the rightful claim of praise to God.

الحمد للّه محموداً بلا سبب

قضت الوهته بالحمد للّه

Praise be to God, praised without a cause;

His divinity has decreed praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً زاكياً وجبت

به قضاء حقوق الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, a pure praise; it is obligatory

through it to fulfill the duties of praise to God.

الحمد للّه لا تقضى حقيقته

إذ كل حمد قضى بالحمد للّه

Praise be to God; its full reality cannot be attained,

for every praise has decreed praise to God.

الحمد للّه قيوماً بفطرته

وكلها شاهد بالحمد للّه

Praise be to God, the Sustainer of His creation;

all of it bears witness to praise to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً باقياً فله

حسب البقاء بقاء الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, an abiding praise; so to Him belongs,

commensurate with eternity, the endurance of praise to God.

الحمد للّه فتاح المواهب وه

اب الفتوح بسر الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, Opener of gifts, Bestower

of openings, through the secret of praise to God.

الحمد للّه خير الرازقين مقي

ت العالمين كفاء الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, best of providers, Sustainer

of the worlds, commensurate with praise to God.

الحمد للّه خير الناصرين وخي

ر الغافرين الحليم الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, best of helpers, and best

of forgivers, the Forbearing—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه براً محسناً صمداً

أعطى وأغنى وأقنى الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, kind, beneficent, the Refuge of all;

He gave, enriched, and endowed—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه رزاق العباد لطي

فاً بالعباد الرحيم الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, Provider of His servants, gentle

toward His servants, the Merciful—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه رب العالمين جمي

ل الصنع مولي العطايا الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, beautiful

in His handiwork, Giver of gifts—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه أهل الجود كل يد

ونعمة هي منه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, possessed of bounty; every favor

and blessing is from Him—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه محمود الفعال حمي

د الذات والوصف أسنى الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, praised for His deeds, praiseworthy

in essence and attribute—the loftiest praise be to God.

الحمد للّه أهل الحمد ما حمدت

ذات بحق سواه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, worthy of praise; never has

any being been rightly praised but Him—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه لا تحصى محامده

لم يأت خلق بحق الحمد للّه

Praise be to God; His praiseworthy qualities cannot be counted;

no creature has rendered the praise truly due to God.

الحمد للّه اخلاصاً أحققه

لوجه ربي الأعلى الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with sincere devotion that I affirm

for the countenance of my Lord Most High—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه مرضاة أجردها

لحقه من شؤوني الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, to please Him; I set it apart

for His due, from my own concerns—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه ايماناً بوحدته

ووعده والوعيد الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, in faith in His oneness

and His promise and His warning—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه شكراً وافراً ويقي

ناً بالمزيد عليه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with abundant thanks and certainty

of increase added to it—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه طوع المخلصين له

في الحمد والشكر أعلى الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with the willing obedience of those sincere to Him,

in praise and thanksgiving—the highest praise be to God.

الحمد للّه اقرار ومعرفة

بالعجز بي عن أداء الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, in acknowledgment and recognition

of my inability to render praise to God.

الحمد للّه عرفاناً بعزته

وذلتي وافتقاري الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, in recognition of His might

and my lowliness and need—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه اذعاناً برتبته

وجه ابتهالي إليه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, in submission to His rank;

the direction of my supplication is toward Him—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه من حق الثناء له

ادراك عجزي عنه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God; part of the praise rightly due to Him

is recognizing my inability to render it—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه قد أبصرت حجته

بنوره وهداه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God; I have perceived His proof

by His light and guidance—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه حمداً حيث عرفني

مراتبي ومقامي الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, with praise, since He made known to me

my ranks and my station—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه في عسر وميسرة

أقامني في مقام الحمد للّه

Praise be to God, in hardship and ease;

He established me in the station of praise to God.

الحمد للّه فيما اختار من خير

رضيت خيرته والحمد للّه

Praise be to God for the good He chose;

I accepted His choice, and praise be to God.

الحمد للّه في تدبير مصلحتي

ولو بضد اختياري الحمد للّه

Praise be to God for His ordering of my welfare,

even against my own choice—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه في تجديد نعمته

منا وطولاً عليَّ الحمد للّه

Praise be to God for renewing His blessing,

as favor and bounty upon me—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه في ضراء كشفها

وكربة قد جلاها الحمد للّه

Praise be to God for adversity He removed,

and anguish He dispelled—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه كم أهفو فيوسعني

حلماً ويصفح عني الحمد للّه

Praise be to God; how often I err, and He lavishes upon me

forbearance and pardons me—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه في خوفي أمنت به

وفي رجائي حباني الحمد للّه

Praise be to God; in my fear I gained safety through Him,

and in my hope He favored me—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه أغنتني جوائزه

بالافتقار إليه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God; His gifts have enriched me

through dependence on Him—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه كم أكدى فينعشني

وحياً برحمته والحمد للّه

Praise be to God; how often I come up empty, and He revives me

swiftly through His mercy, and praise be to God.

الحمد للّه كم من عقدة لزبت

فحلها لطفه والحمد للّه

Praise be to God; how many a knot has held fast,

then His gentleness untied it, and praise be to God.

الحمد للّه آواني وأيدني

بنصره وكفاني الحمد للّه

Praise be to God; He sheltered and strengthened me

with His help, and sufficed me—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه أغناني وبوأني

مبوءاً حسناً والحمد للّه

Praise be to God; He enriched me and settled me

in a good abode, and praise be to God.

الحمد للّه سواني وفضلني

على كثير غنى والحمد للّه

Praise be to God; He fashioned me and favored me

above many in wealth, and praise be to God.

الحمد للّه أعطاني ونورني

من علمه وهداني الحمد للّه

Praise be to God; He gave to me and enlightened me

from His knowledge and guided me—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه أولاني اليقين به

في العسر واليسر منه الحمد للّه

Praise be to God; He granted me certainty in Him,

in hardship and ease from Him—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه كم فتح وخاتمة

من وهبه ساقه لي الحمد للّه

Praise be to God; how many an opening and a conclusion

from His bounty He brought to me—praise be to God.

الحمد للّه أسعدني وصل على

محمد مَن هدى للحمد للّه

Praise be to God; He made me happy. And send blessings upon

Muhammad, who showed the way to praising God.
