أباO Abu خالدٍKhalid ركنيmy pillar ومنand the one whom أناI عبدُهhis servant
لقدindeed غالنيtreacherously harmed me الأعداءُthe enemies عمداًdeliberately لتغضباso that you grow angry
O Abu Khalid, my pillar and the one whose servant I am,
O Abu Khalid support me, I who am your servant
The enemies have indeed deliberately sought my ruin to make you angry.
The enemies have surely wronged me intentionally to anger you
فإنso if كنتُI had قلتI said اللذthat which أتاكcame to you بهwith it العداthe enemies
فشلّتthen may ... be paralyzed يديmy hand اليمنىthe right وأصبحتand may you become أغضباangrier
For if I said what the enemies brought to you,
If I have said what has reached you from the enemy
Then may my right hand be paralyzed, and may you grow angrier.
Then may my right hand be paralyzed and I become angry
ولاand may ... never زِلتُI cease محمولاًheaped عليَّupon me بليَّةٌa calamity
وأمسيتُand may I become at dusk شلواًa carcass للسّباعfor beasts of prey مُتَرَّباcovered in dust
And may calamity never cease to be heaped upon me,
And I have continued to be afflicted with misfortune
And by evening may I be a dust-covered carcass for beasts of prey.
And I have become lame prey for predators
فلاso do not تَسمعَنever heed قولَthe words of العداthe enemies وتبيَّنَنand examine carefully
أباO Abu خالدٍKhalid عذراًan excuse وإنand even if كنتَyou are مغضِباangry
So do not heed the enemies' words, but consider carefully,
So do not listen to the words of the enemy and be clear
O Abu Khalid, my excuse, even if you are angry.
O Abu Khalid, excuse me even if you are angry
