وَسيبُكَand your bounty مَوقوفٌreserved عَلىfor كُلِّevery راغِبِseeker
وَسيبُكَ مَوقوفٌ عَلى كُلِّ راغِبِ
Your protection extends to everyone who fears,
Your protection extends to everyone in fear,
and your largesse is reserved for everyone who seeks.
and your bounty is reserved for everyone who seeks it.
تَباشَرَتِrejoiced الدُنياthe world بِجَدواكَin your generosity وَاِكتَفَتand was satisfied
تَباشَرَتِ الدُنيا بِجَدواكَ وَاِكتَفَت
فَلَمso did not تَتَباشَرrejoice بِالغُيوثِin the rains الصَوائِبِpouring down
فَلَم تَتَباشَر بِالغُيوثِ الصَوائِبِ
The world rejoiced in your bounty and was satisfied,
The world rejoiced in your generosity and was satisfied,
so it did not rejoice in the pouring rains.

تَبَسَّمَsmiled مِنكَthrough you الدَهرُTime عَنrevealing زائِنٍone who adorns لَهُit
تَبَسَّمَ مِنكَ الدَهرُ عَن زائِنٍ لَهُ
وَعَينٌand a watchful eye عَلَيهِover it فيamid اِختِلافِthe succession of النَوائِبِcalamities
وَعَينٌ عَلَيهِ في اِختِلافِ النَوائِبِ
Through you, Time smiled, revealing one who adorns it,

an eye watching over it through the changing course of calamities,
and a watchful eye over it amid successive calamities;
بَصيرٌdiscerning لَهُhe has دونَbefore العَواقِبِthe outcomes فِكرَةًa thought
بَصيرٌ لَهُ دونَ العَواقِبِ فِكرَةً
تَكشِفُreveals عَنabout رَأيٍan insight وَراءَbeyond العَواقِبِthe outcomes
تَكشِفُ عَن رَأيٍ وَراءَ العَواقِبِ
clear-sighted on its behalf before consequences unfold, with thought
a discerning man whose thought, before outcomes unfold,
that unveils a judgment reaching beyond those consequences.

لِيَشكُركَlet it thank you مَجدٌglory لاnot تَزالُyou cease تَحوطُهُyou guard it
لِيَشكُركَ مَجدٌ لا تَزالُ تَحوطُهُ
وَتَحميهِand defend it بِالنَصلَينِwith the two blades عَزمٍresolve وَقاضِبِand a sharp sword
وَتَحميهِ بِالنَصلَينِ عَزمٍ وَقاضِبِ
Let glory thank you—glory you never cease to shelter
Let glory thank you—you never cease to guard it,
and defend with the twin blades: resolve and a keen sword.
