مَنwhoever يَكُنis صائِلاًattacking بِمِثلِwith the like of لِسانيmy tongue
مَن يَكُن صائِلاً بِمِثلِ لِساني
لَمnot يُضِرهُharm him أَنthat لَمnot يَصِلhe strikes بِسِنانِwith a spearpoint
لَم يُضِرهُ أَن لَم يَصِل بِسِنانِ
Whoever assails with a tongue like mine
Whoever attacks with a tongue like mine
is none the worse if he cannot strike with a spearpoint.
Is none the worse for not striking with a spearpoint.
