عُذَيرِيَmy vindicator مِنagainst دَهرٍan age مُوارٍdissembling مُوارِبٍdeceitful
عُذَيرِيَ مِن دَهرٍ مُوارٍ مُوارِبٍ
لَهُit has حَسَناتٌgood deeds كُلُّهُنَّall of them ذَنوبُsins
لَهُ حَسَناتٌ كُلُّهُنَّ ذَنوبُ
Who will vindicate me against a dissembling, deceitful age,
My friend, my faults are many, though my virtues few
Whose good deeds are all sins?
The days and nights betray me, though I seek virtue true
