زَمانٌ كَثَوبِ الغولِ فيهِ تَلَوُّنٌ

فَأَوَّلُهُ صَفوٌ وَآخِرُهُ كَدَر

فَأَوَّلُهُ صَفوٌ وَآخِرُهُ كَدَر

Time is like the ghoul’s cloak, forever changing hue;

Time is like the ghoul’s robe, shifting in color;

its beginning is clear, but its end is clouded.

So its beginning is clear, and its end is murky.
