فَهاتِ الراحَ مِن أَيدي المِلاحِ
The north wind stirred, and my night grew cold.
The north wind stirred, and my night grew cold.
So bring the wine from the hands of the fair ones.
So bring wine from the hands of the beauties.

Ash veils the ember’s locust swarm,
The locusts of the embers are veiled by ash,
as daisies veil a rose.
Like roses veiled by daisies.

The gardens’ breaths are distilled perfumes;
And the breaths of the gardens are distilled;
the breaths of the winds fly with them.
The breaths of the winds carry them aloft.

The clouds’ robes are steeped in musk,
And the cloaks of darkness are musk-scented,
their borders embroidered like the dawn.
Their hems embroidered like the morning.
