So welcome good fortune in a noble child,
Face good with a noble spirit,
untainted by what disgraces humankind.
Above what displeases the land's observer.

And before long he will become a gallant man;
And from little does it become bountiful,

To the misery of insisting naggers.

Ah, then live assured of good fortune,
Oh live then in the safeguard of grace
until you see gray hair among his sons.
Until you see grey hair on your progeny.
