لاdo not تَأمَنَنَّever trust أَخاa man of العَداوَةِenmity إِنَّهُfor he
لا تَأمَنَنَّ أَخا العَداوَةِ إِنَّهُ
إِنif أَمكَنَتهُenabled him فُرصَةٌan opportunity لَمnot يُمهَلِis granted respite
إِن أَمكَنَتهُ فُرصَةٌ لَم يُمهَلِ
Never trust a bearer of enmity—for he,
Never trust a man of enmity, for
if chance gives him power, will grant no respite.
if an opportunity comes his way, no respite is granted.
لِلَّهِto God دَرُّكَyour excellence كَيفَhow تَأمَنُtrust مُحنَقاًan enraged man
لِلَّهِ دَرُّكَ كَيفَ تَأمَنُ مُحنَقاً
تَغليboils عَداوَةُthe enmity of صَدرِهِhis breast فيin مِرجَلِa cauldron
تَغلي عَداوَةُ صَدرِهِ في مِرجَلِ
By God, how astonishing you are! How can you feel safe from one enraged,
God bless you! How can you trust an enraged man
when the hatred in his breast boils as in a cauldron?
while the hatred in his breast boils in a cauldron?

Prudence lies only in tearing out his roots,
Prudence lies only in tearing out his roots;
and no one is safe from a viper unless it is killed.
and a serpent cannot be deemed safe if it is not killed.
