يَجلوreveals عَلَيكَto you مُفَضَّضاًsilvered فيin مُذهَبِsomething gilded
يَجلو عَلَيكَ مُفَضَّضاً في مُذهَبِ
Look at the mandrake: you will gaze in wonder.
Look at the shirt, you look amazed
It reveals to you silver set in gold.
It shines on you embroidered in style
يَعلوrise above مَفارِقَهُits crowns قَلانِسُcaps أُخفِيَتwere hidden
يَعلو مَفارِقَهُ قَلانِسُ أُخفِيَت
مِنfrom تَحتِهِنَّbeneath them دَراهِمُdirhams (silver coins) لَمnot تُضرَبِbe struck
مِن تَحتِهِنَّ دَراهِمُ لَم تُضرَبِ
Caps rise above its crowns; hidden
Its collar rises, concealed are % dinars
beneath them are dirhams never struck.
