إِذا لَم يُرِد خِلٍّ إِعانَةَ خِلِّهِ
أَتاهُhe came to him إِذاwhen نابَstruck المُلِمُّthe calamity يُوَبَّخُhe is rebuked
أَتاهُ إِذا نابَ المُلِمُّ يُوَبَّخُ
If a friend does not wish to help his friend,
If a friend does not wish to help his friend,
he comes to him when grave trouble strikes, reproaching him.
the latter comes to him when calamity strikes, and is rebuked.
