يُديرُhe twirls فيin أَنمُلِهِhis fingertips وَردَةًa rose
يُديرُ في أَنمُلِهِ وَردَةً
جاءَتit came مِنَfrom المِسكِmusk بِأَخبارِwith tidings
جاءَت مِنَ المِسكِ بِأَخبارِ
He twirls a rose between his fingertips,
Twirling a rose in his fingers
which came bearing tidings from musk.
That came with the scent of musk and news
يَلوحُgleams فيin حُمرَتِهاits redness صُفرَةٌa yellow hue
يَلوحُ في حُمرَتِها صُفرَةٌ
كَالخَدِّlike a cheek مَنقوطاًdotted بِدينارِwith a dinar
كَالخَدِّ مَنقوطاً بِدينارِ
A yellow hue gleams within its redness,
Showing in its redness a yellowness
like a cheek dotted with a dinar.
