فَأَذرَيتَso you shed دَمعاًtears بِالدِماءِwith blood مُصَبَّغاًstained
كَماjust as يَتَواهىcomes undone عَقدُthe knot عِقدٍof a necklace مُنَسَّقِneatly strung
So you shed tears stained with blood,
As the knot of a neatly strung necklace comes undone.
وَقَدand already باشَرَtouched اللَيلَthe night الصَباحُdawn كَأَنَّهُas though it were
بَقِيَّةُa trace كُحلٍof kohl فيin حَماليقِthe inner eyelids of أَزرَقِa blue-eyed man

A trace of kohl in the inner eyelids of a blue-eyed man.
