حَليفُa companion of عَناءٍhardship وَمَجدٍand glory وَفَخرٍand pride
حَليفُ عَناءٍ وَمَجدٍ وَفَخرٍ
وَبَأسٍand valor وَجودٍوَخَيرٍand generosity and goodness وَخَيرِand goodness
وَبَأسٍ وَجودٍوَخَيرٍ وَخَيرِ
A companion of hardship, glory, and pride,
and valor, generosity, goodness, and goodness.
أَضاءَhe shone فَأَطرَقَso bowed its head ضَوءُthe light of الشُموسِthe suns
أَضاءَ فَأَطرَقَ ضَوءُ الشُموسِ
وَتَمَّand he attained perfection فَأَغضىso lowered its gaze تَمامُthe fullness of البُدورِthe full moons
وَتَمَّ فَأَغضى تَمامُ البُدورِ
He shone, so the light of the suns bowed its head;
and he attained perfection, so the fullness of the full moons lowered its gaze.
