فاتَكَ الحَظُّ وَلَكِن

فاتَكَ الحَظُّ وَلَكِن

لَم يَفُت إِلّا لِيُدرَك

لَم يَفُت إِلّا لِيُدرَك

Fortune has eluded you, but

It eluded you only to be attained.

خُذهُ فَاِترُكهُ فَقِدماً

خُذهُ فَاِترُكهُ فَقِدماً

يُؤخَذُ الشَيءُ لِيُترَك

يُؤخَذُ الشَيءُ لِيُترَك

Take it, then leave it, for of old

A thing was taken to be left.
