We invited the rival of the radiant full moon.
Then she came to us amid fresh greenery,

مُضَمَّخَةَsteeped in perfume السَوالِفَthe sides of the neck بِالعَبيرِwith fragrance
Her upper-lip down embroidered with costly perfumes,
The sides of her neck steeped in fragrance.

And all you desire in soft, full hips.

I caress her when she is clad in silk,
And think her silk within silk.
فَأُنسٌthen companionship ثُمَّthen لَهوٌmerriment ثُمَّthen زَهرٌflowers
سُرورٌjoy فيwithin سُرورٍjoy فيwithin سُرورِjoy
Then companionship, then merriment, then flowers—
Joy within joy within joy.
